a dilemma

Well chances are the member did not just stop short of copying and pasting that one discussion. If it were I, I would use the contact at the bottom of the page and send Mylot a note like this.... ----------------------------------------------- This discussion *insert link here* was a copy from this discussion *insert link here*. While I know this for sure, I don't know how many other times they have stolen their discussions from others. You may want to check into it. ------------------------------------------------- Yes that post will be deleted unfortunately for those that replied, however Mylot will then be able to look into this person and stop them from stealing others work and as well as ripping the site off. If I were one that replied to their post, I would gladly sacrifice my points for this. That's just view on it though.

I think i would just let it go. i would hate for the people who took the time to respond to lose their earnings just because some dummy copied someone elses discussion. Sometimes i wonder if the copy and paste feature should but taken off here lol.

I would just let it go. I made a boo boo once. A long time ago I had responded to a discussion. It had a link for something. I had so much fun with that link, I wanted to have some more fun with it. I took the link and started a discussion with it. Well the old discussion (that belonged to someone else) reservaced. I felt like a cad. I didn't purpously steal someones discussion from many months ago. But if someone would look at it they would think that I did.

I think let it be unless you go to the person's site to see if there is a continuing pattern in this. Maybe they did it once. Shame on them. If they did it twice then ya report them?

I agree with most responses, I would just let it go. Just for the sake of those who responded to the "copycat" discussion who are set to lose their points if the discussion was deleted. Chances are, they did not know there was an earlier discussion specially if it has been inactive for several months. I used to worry about those too but sometimes you can see that there are different responders to the discussions and we can think that if the second discussion was not posted, then there won't be a chance to the others to respond (knowing that we rarely use the search function!).

I would let it go. The users that have answered both discussions aren't responsible for the copy and paste.

Unfortunately you take a risk of the discussion being deleted, so I think it should be reported b/c that is cheating on here. Obviously the newer one only got two responses that was copied and pasted... Pablo

I posted a discussion that was an exact duplicate of someone else's discussion. I didn't know it until after I did it. What happened was, I got this discussion in an email and I liked it so much that I posted it on mylot without checking for similar discussions like I normally do. I notified mylot admin, and they removed my discussion for me. I know, sometimes things like that happen, but I didn't want to have an exact copy of something that someone else posted. Now, I always check before posting anything. I've noticed that there are quite a few similar, if not exactly the same discussions.

In my opinion, if it is really copy paste, it is bad but also we have to check the topic, about what? If the topic is like the answer may change or vary with time, then its ok. For exampple, today I was really wanted to know that how am i doing and how much others are earning from here, so i posted a thread and that was not exactly the same like another thread posted in the past but has similerity, now that post was, say in May this year and after that many members have joined, 3 more payouts are already received by all members so the highest payout upto May will not be the same till now. My highest was $12 upto May but after that I got $25 in July, so the answer is changed. You know what I mean? So it depends on the nature, if its variable with time then let ud see if anything changed to the responder than the previous one. But ofcourse it is not right to copy and paste, I dont support it. If you want to ask you ask in your own way that can make the similer topic much dfferent and much like yur own.

Well we couldn't be really sure that it was copied. It could be coincidental only. Sometimes, we think of the same things because there are really experiences that happen to most of us. This is a difficult thing to prove, really. I suggest you just let it go. It didn't get lots of responses anyway. Its always nice to have a topic repeat because not all people can read that one topic at that time. How would we know if there are really similar discussions with what we have posted before starting a discussion? We couldn't really read all the discussions at all times, could we? There's a great possibility that they just thought of the same thing.

who knows why this hapened . maybe they really were 2 discussions. perhaps there could be other reasons too. be a good shepard. lots of love, apple.
