Do we earn by how many responses we recieve?

I think we earn from the responses that we post rather than the responses that we receive from starting a discussion. But in my own experience, I happen to be earning much in my old account before it was hacked. ( www.mylot.com/meeming ) I am not really sure.. But I earned more because of the number of responses that I received from my discussions plus the responses I made from other peoples' discussions. Maybe mylot gives some credits to those discussions with numerous responses. That is just my opinion. If you really want to convince people to join, just tell them to post to any discussion which they can relate to. The more they post, the better earning. I really find it hard to start a discussion which really puts interest in a lot of people. That is why I choose to respond to a discussion rather than to start one yet has no responses at all.
