I wear glasses only when I am trying to read something, I know when you get i your 40's that is when you need them if you have had good eye sight, till that age, some people half to werar them for the rest of their life. I have even seen children thats about 5 yrs. old wear them. well I had to get my eyes checked Aug, 31St. then I will get me some real glasses, not those dollar glasses that you get a the dollar store, because they will mess you eyes up. Ok, have a good day!

I've had glasses since I was about 9 years old. I was only supposed to wear them when I needed to see far away. Watch tv, Read the board at school...etc. But as a 9 year old kid that was too much effort and I just wore the glasses all the time. I'm 25 now and my eyesight is pretty horrendous. I wear contacts now though. But if I take my contacts out and rock the glasses style, the only time I take my glasses of is when I read.

I was told the same thing when I started wearing my glasses, but my eyes were so bad and I was squinting all the time without them, so I wore them all the time. Believe it or not, my eyesight improved a lot when I changed my diet to eating all or mostly whole foods. I guess all those veggies helped my eyes. My eyesight is only 25% as bad as it was when I was in my early 20s.

Veggies have never helped my eyes. I'm a very picky eater and I don't eat much in general and mostly what I do eat is good foods. My eye sight continues to get worse every time I go to the doctors. But My dad was the same way.

Yeah...me too. but not for focal glasses only for transition glasses. After had my eye tests with optometrist for my eye lens's focusing, nothing to do with my lens focusing but my eye glare. but I don't like wearing spectacles, have to at day time.

I do wear glasses when I want to read a smaller letter text. It is 0.5 power glass. When I am outside home and when I am at computer, I do not require glass. AFter 40 it is said one should get one's eyes examined and in all probability most of them require spectacles I suppose. Have a nice day.

My grand parents used to tell me that one should eat carrot (raw) and drink carrot juice everyday and it improves the eye sight. Also read Robert Bateman's book on Eye sight and exercises for eyes. (it is a small book, you can read it in one day). Also keep looking at greenery as much time as possible during day time.

I have always made sure I have regular eye checks and until now there have been no problems but I'll be 40 soon and am very worried that I'll have to wear glasses, more especially as I have diabetes and most diabetics have eye problems at some stage!

I have worn glasses since I was 2 yrs. old. I hated them, I even buried them in the back yard. I used to hide them all the time. Once I was grown I got contact lenses, I still wear contacts and glasses. I am now in my 40's I have noticed my eyes changing, I have the long arm thing going on, hehe. I need to get my eyes checked too, I need new glasses and contacts. I don't hate my glasses anymore, darn, I guess that means I have grown up.

I guess you don't care much for glasses, It makes some people look, good and some people look bad, all depends on the frame, if you have ugly frames I don't blame ou for not wanting to wear them. but i know you don't have ugly frames. LOL.

When I was a child, I had to wear glasses regularly. I have no idea for the reason. Now, I just wear them for reading and computer work. I have a really nice pair of glasses. They are a dark wire frame. I really enjoy how they look and work. They also have bifocals for close up work.

I wear two types. One for reading and the other for distant and near vision combined .It is a verifocal. It is a miserable experience misplacing them and searching them art the crucial times.

I have pretty much had the same prescription for over 25 years now. I use one contact, it is for distance, as of this time, I don't need glasses for reading but I hav ento had an eye exam in going on 3 years now.

me? I tend to only wear my glasses when I want to see something. hehe, even my dreams apparently as I do not bother to take them off when sleeping - this way if I wake up in a start I will not fumble to find them. it has happened in the past that I can not relocate my glasses right in front of me, or I will drop them to the floor and fear stepping on them in my blindness.......ahhhhhhhh. I have been wearing glasses since age 5 but probably could have stood to get them sooner.

I started wearing glasses in kindergarten, probably needed them before that, but that is when I started walking into walls enough that my folks thought there might be a problem, haha. when I turned 40 I started having a lot of trouble seeing written words so made myself an eye appt. thinking my prescription must have changed, it did not - however I developed the need for bifocals.

I have worn glasses since I was 10 or 11 years old and always hated them. When I finally got contact lenses I was in heaven. What a difference. Now, however, I wear glasses again because I don't worry quite as much about how I look, and because they make regular glasses better than they used to. When I was a teenager, though, I got very low self-esteem from having to wear thick glasses.

I had to get glasses when I was in college. I was getting headaches all the time. I found out I had astigmatism. The glasses helped with the headaches immediately. I've gone through a series of prescription changes, to bifocals, then no line lenses. I've worn contacts for the past 20 years or so, and now wear contacts I can leave in all the time. I only have to change to new ones once a month. It is nice not to have to worry about glasses fogging up, or getting wet when it is raining. And there is no vision change at the sides. I can see all the time. I really like them.
