Have you ever meet a NEXTEL driver?

Have you ever had the chance to meet any of the NEXTEL drivers? If you could meet them who would you like to meet? I took my kids to meet several drivers at a large autograph signing. Most all of them were very nice but Dale Jarret was one of the friendliest drivers. My parents have had pit passes to a couple of the races and they seem to like Ricky Rudd.

I have never met a nextel driver but I sure would love to meet Tony Stewart. He seems like such a nice down to earth guy and cuddly too. I would like to meet Daryl Waltrip most of all though and I sure wish he was still racing, what a genuine gentleman he is.

I would love to meet DW. I think I also could cuddle with Tony Stewart. My Dad bought my son son a small Jeff Gordon car hood and took it to the pits to have drivers and crew chiefs sing it and Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman were the only two that would not sign it. I don't blame them. I thought it was kind of funny. I am not a Jeff fan!

I have a friend who several years ago had the chance to meet Daryl Waltrip and she was not impressed at all. She met up with him a couple years after that and he did not have the time of day for any of the fans around him, he just told them he didn't have time and to get out of the way, then got on a golf cart and almost ran into some of them. Could have just been some of his bad days that she was around him, not sure.

I have always heard the Dale Jarret was very good with the fans. Always taking time to sign something or pose for a picture. As for me, wow, what a list I have of drivers that I want to meet. Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Casey Mears. Man, I know there are more too.

We have also had the chance to meet Terry Labonte and Kevin Harvick. They were both nice but neither one stood out like Dale Jarrett.

I also met Dale Jarrett a few years ago and he really is a nice, down to earth guy. I met John Andretti and he's also very nice and friendly. I met Dave Blaney and Casey Kahne both when they were still running sprint cars if that counts, but they were nice as well. Seems like most of them are pretty cool guys. I do have a neat story to tell. A few years ago when I was delivering mail in Berwick, Pa. which is about 45 minutes from Pocono Raceway I was waiting to cross the street at a very busy intersection and I saw this HUGE, shiny motorhome coming down the street; it stopped and the driver motioned for me to cross and he had this great big smile...it actually took me a few seconds to realize it was Kyle Petty! By then I was across the street and I waved and gave a thumbs up and he waved back and honked his horn. It was only a few weeks later that his son Adam was killed in New Hampshire and I felt so sad thinking that his beautiful smile would never be the same again.

My hubby and I met Rusty Wallace on a Carnival cruise three years ago. There were meet-and-greets, cocktail hours, autograph signings, and we even had our picture taken with him. He was very friendly and we had an awesome time!

I have had the good fortune to meet both Terry and Bobby Labonte. I used to work at our local race track here where Terry got his start in racing. I didn't work there when he raced there though. They are both from my home town and several years ago our city decided to rename our river park after them, so the Nueces River Park is now the Labonte Park. The two of them were here for the ceremonies, big bbq, autographs and all. Both are such gentlemen. Terry and usually his wife come each year for a motorcycle fun run, they go several hundred miles to raise money for the children's hospital here. There are several I would love to meet, Tony Stewart; Jr,; Michael Waltrip; Kenny Wallace; Elliott Sadler; Dale Jarrett; Carl Edwards ... the list could go on and on. There are just a few I could care less about meeting and those are Gordon, Johnson, both Busch brothers and Harvick. Sorry if I offended anyone but those are the ones I do not like.

I have never met a Nascar driver, but I love watching nascar and my absolute favorite driver is Elliott Sadler. At first I liked him because he drove the M&M car, but now that he is number 19 he is still my favorite. Very easy on the eyes. :)

Back when Jamie McMurray was a rookie in the cup series, I cut his hair. My hometown is close to where he is from. He was home for Mother's Day, and agreed to do a small meet and greet at a sports store that one of his old friends worked at. I worked right across the hall from that store, and when I went over to meet him (I was friends with his friend), he asked me if I would cut his hair, because our friend was asking me if I had an appointment available for him. Jamie was really nice and friendly.

driven by Michael Waltrip - This is our Late Model that Michael Waltrip drove.
I have never met one but my s/o has met a few at autograph signings. I don't remember what ones though. I think it was a few of the new comers in the past few years. We do own a race car that was driven by a NEXTEL driver though. Our dirt Late Model was driven by Michael Waltrip for one of the special Late Model races that Tony Stewart puts on.
