As you might have read from a discussion I started a while ago. I am on a marathon to reach the minimum payout for this month. However, looking at the discussions on the board, I think I am running low of sensible discussions I can respond to. I find the rest of the discussions just flimflams. Help me out here people! Start posting sensible discussions now which I could respond so that I could win this marathon. I have only till August 31 on my calendar to win. Cheers!

You know a good way to find good discussions is to check out the discussions of the people who respond to YOUR discussion. You'll at least know some idea if the discussions will make sense by the way they respond to yours. I always respond to my friend's discussions first, then the ones with no responses. There are sensible discussions, but sometimes you have to look really really really hard for them. : )

Try picking a subject you like & checking thru the discussions. You may find more substatial discussions if you go for more specific subjects than the general ones of "life" and "people." I don't know what you like, but try things like "science" or "parenting" instead. Two very different types of discussions since I don't know what you might like.

Well, one suggestion I have that you might want to consider, is checking out the Posts in your Interests that you enjoy, or think of topics that interest you, and put that in the Search Engine and then go from there. I have even on occassion found a user I really can relate with, and answer a whole lot of their discussions. Even though they may be older, you do get paid for any Discussion you respond too no matter how old they are. Wishing you Luck!!

I know what you mean. It is getting harder an dharder to find good, quilty topics anymore. I too am tring to get one last payout before leaving. I'm at $5.74 right now and I doubt I'll get it this month. I've been averagaing about a penny per post if I'm lucky. I think alot of people have left too.

Same here pal! Even I would like a payout at the end of August but I have run out of sensible, original, stimulating discussions. Most are like ‘do you like coffee; ‘what do you wear at home’, ‘how much do you spend on groceries’ etc. Without any insult to anybody, I am just trying to say that what do you write in response to such discussions! I can go on max 2 or 3 lines and after that I have to sign off, I cant talk nonsense, I cant fabricate lines where none exist. But some topics are really good, informative, worth debating on. Another thing I am noticing off late is that same topics are being repeated with a twist here and a twist there. I go thru friends, today’s hot discussions, general discussions, my interests and almost every nook and corner of Mylot and then maybe I get some good discussions. Its really becoming difficult here. So its my request too, to all my friends to please initiate interesting discussions on Mylot.

Sorry, can't help because I can't think of an interesting discussion that won't get deleted. Hang on, don't know if you'll be able to answer but I've just thought of one.

If you cannot find any discussions, I know that i go through all my friends discussions that they have posted, in case I have missed out on any..

Good luck with your goal :) As for the discussions, I noticed that some new users post discussions where we can only answer yes or no. It is difficult to go further than that. I decided that my goal is to reach the 500 posts and be able to copy and paste so I can contribute better.

hi ricko82,first of all i wish you good luck to win this marathon in time and that too with colorful rewards..!!even i think some time like that..and you know even i am trying to reach payout(my first one ever)here till 10th of September as after that i won't be mylotting much because i'll have to keep my fingers away from my laptop and use them turning the pages of my course books and writing down notes i'll be making ..all this to clear my exam in November..so i'll also be joining a marathon like you or lets declare it here now..;-)..true said..as much as i am trying to post and discuss here i think sensibility is loosing its place in some of them but not all i suppose..from my side if i feel blocking in my ideas or topics to discuss here i start searching for good ones for responding to them and i reply to even those which are old now(2-3 months not more than that) if i find them good and sensible..i'll be tracking you in good discussions..;-)..cheers and keep posting and responding..!!even i like to set goals..
