It seems like a lot of really great music & musicians ~ like Mariah Carey's early stuff ~ has been permanently DELETED from history. What bands, musicians, songs & albums do you LOVE that seem to have been made to DISAPPEAR???

You have such a good point, LOL. It's like one day Mariah was pop, and the next she was R&B, bordering on rap! Another one that has disappeared is No Doubt's music. These days it is all Gwen Stefani's solo stuff. And the other one that comes to mind is The Backstreet Boys. But hey, I don't have an objection to that.

I forgot to clarify that No Doubt is the one that I really really loved. I remember collecting all of their albums, and asking for them for Christmas.

I have one. Eagle Eyed Cherry. This singer has disappeared from history and he had such good songs like "save tonight". Oh god how I like that song. I don't know why he disappeared but it would be good if a new album came out from him.

There's a few bands/artists that that have been mostly deleted from history, don't get airplay or never did, hardly get mentioned in music magazines &/or have albums that are hard to find - sometimes long out of print & only available second hand - or from obscure labels. Not everything is on amazon. There's also loads of band that are only remembered for one or two hit/popular singles while the rest of their material/career is almost totally ignored.

I guess you and I must live on different plants because I have Mariah Carey and other early artists on CDs.

I can not think of anything that I have not been able to find. I have Mariah Carey's "Music Box," on cassette. I also have her number one hits on C.D. Whenever I want to find old music I go to http://www.amazon.com.

I don't really know what you talking about sweetie. I have been able to find everything I've ever wanted on CD including the Shang-ri-la's. Here is where you can find just on place that has Mariah's complete work. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/105-3602437-9678017?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=mariah+carey&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go
