Are you offended?

When you are driving down the road and the person next to you has their music turned up so loudly that you can plainly hear each note and every word...does it offend you? Are they being unfair to the other people or just enjoying their music....what is your opinion???

Well, I like listening to loud music too, and it is their car after all. I guess I will only be offended if the music they are listening to is something I don't like! Otherwise, it doesn't really matter to me since it's not hurting anyone. People shouldn't get offended because they will drive away from that other car soon enough!

well tinamwhite, it can be either of the two or both, maybe they just want to enjoy their music, or they want to annoy other people, or both! my mom, is kinda like that, in the morning when i'm still asleep she used to play loud sounds from our pc, then i'll get mad. but if i was the one who's playing loud songs, or even turining up the tv so lud, she'll get mad even more. ugh.

That really really bothers me. I have extremely sensitive hearing, and when someone has their music blasting, especially rap and rock with screaming voices and pounding bass, it actually hurts me. It makes me feel trapped and very uncomfortable.

It annoys me when they are driving by my house at 3 am with their music that loud but not while I'm driving...usually because I have mine turned up too loud to hear theirs anyway! I know that I turn mine up because I'm enjoying it, I REALLY like the song, or because I'm in a mood that needs to be drowned out by music. The way I see it, I don't know what their reasons are so I'm not going to judge...even the ones late at night I try to go easy on, for all I know they just had a fight with their partner and are driving it off or are getting tired and just trying to make it home. Loud music doesn't always equal obnoxious...we're all humans with our own needs and issues in life...sometimes music is all we have to see us through.

Not offended by it but I will tell them to turn it down, even if it was not my car LOL I have told taxi drivers to turn down their music too especially when my son is in the car. I think most of the time they are just enjoying the music and forget that others are in the car, my husband does that from time to time lOL

Well, I do it ofetn and almost all the time, if the music bother me I ask to trun it down or use th headphone and lower the sound so that i don't have to hear it. If i like it then also i like to ear not so loud and I make sure it doesn't bother anybody else around me. I ask the taxi driver regularly and when in others car, I better tell them rather than getting a headache fast!

I think it is very selfish! Trouble is we live in a very selfish world nowadays and hearing peoples music turned up high is a common occurence, worse is when you are in the high street! It's invasion and you shouldn't have your ears blasted with other people's music which most of the time is just boom boom! No music just that awful tinny noise. Offended yes, it plainly puts my back up!

No I do not lol I have to admit that sometimes when I am driving I have my Music loud to as I enjoy to listen to it but of course it is not all this Rock music and the one that makes the car shake lol I do not have it so loud that it would annoy others but in the Summer it would be a bit worse anyway as People have their Car windows open

i am not so much offened as annoyed. i think if i want to hear what you are listening to then i would buy the cd or put on that station. i mean you only have to listen for a moment or two while you are waiting so i most of the time let it roll of my back

WEll, I try not too get too mad because I used to be the same way. But I do not like it. I do not think I should have to be subjected to what the person next to me is listening to. I think they should be polite and turn it down at stop lights. It seems that a lot of times, these people who blast the music are in need of attention.

On the bus line that I use there is a driver that takes any and all bad driving habits as a personal attack against him, and I can see him in a constant fury over what he sees and hears, Life is far to short to allow this sort of thing in my life, If I take offense to loud music, it is my problem, because I am the one that gets the raised blood pressure I am the one with the anger and outrage, the guy with the loud music is just enjoying his music, so I do believe in live and let live.Actually I know several people like that, they walk around bent out of shape because some one has offended them and are not aware of it,

Yesterday I was bussing on the local public bus system, and I heard a car next to our bus that had their bass up really, really LOUD, and it was very irritating and annoying. I really could hardly wait to get out of the area and get away from that very loud car. It caused the whole bus to shake. I have a lot of patience and tolerance for other people's music enjoyment, but there is definitely a limit!

Generally, no. I frequently play the music in my car really loud too so if someone next to me is, I probably can't even hear it over the high volume of my own music. The only way it would offend me is if the lyrics were offensive or if it was happening in a neighborhood where it should be quiet
