Before we all know it, soon fall and winter will be here. And, you know what this means! Snow! So, are you looking forward to snow, or are you not? Let's talk about that here.

I actually am looking forward to it. I need to get more winter scene photography in anyways. My camera was on the fritz last winter so I missed my chance. This winter and fall, I'm ready.

You're right. Winter scenes make for great photography. I am sure you will have plenty of chances pretty soon. Good luck with that!

It is now winter, and I do not like it. It is all right to have snow around Christmas, but here in Manitoba, it is cold from November through to March, with January being the coldest month of all. The snow makes it difficult to get around. I used to live in Vancouver, B.C. and we had a light snow that soon disappeared. The best place for snow is on the mountains.

Snow is great, but to a certain limit. After a certain amount of it, and the accompanying ice and slick sidewalks and streets, it gets to be utterly ridiculous! You are missing something by never getting snow, but believe me you are NOT missing falling on a slick sidewalk or nearly getting hit by a car while crossing a busy street because the car is having a hard time stopping on the ice-covered asphalt! We get ice with the snow here. Thank goodness I have special grippers that I put on the soles of my shoes during the winter! They don't guarantee 100% safety, but they are sure a lot better than going without them!

Actually it's coming closer and closer, here in northeast of china, we will be expecting it whether we welcome it or not, it will come. so to welcome the unwelcome we should start buying the heavy wears which are already displyed in the clothes shops and stores. however, i don't like it as one is often indoors and due to the cold you hardly open the windows for fresh air. heating the rooms to keep oneself warm is an extra job done.

Yes, that is a problem, getting enough fresh air when one is indoors a lot due to the cold. I am going to start shopping at the thrift stores for sweaters and sweatshirts as soon as possible. I don't particularly like winter either, but winter doesn't care how we feel about it. It comes anyway. One must prepare for it.

In my part of the world where I am living there is no snowfall. Just extreme wet and dry winter season. In the northern parts of my country (Pakistan) there is alot snowfall. I haven't seen snowfall. This year I am planning for a tour to the northern areas and see it for myself. I hope I go as saving and cutting down the home budget alot.

I hope you will get to see it. It really is something spectacular for those who have never seen it firsthand.

I live in tropical country, since childhood I was longing to see snow as I could never see snow in my place. Few years back I got an opportunity to visit china in November for a stay of eleven days. I was so eager to see snow as I was told it was the winter season then. I was quite disappointed then but there was still no sign of snowing yet even the weather was severely cold. When I was about to left and waiting at the airport departure room. Looking out the glass I finally saw snowflakes dancing in the wind. I was so excited but unfortunately I couldn’t have touch of them.
