Yahoo is better known for e-mails even though it also has a search engine. Why is yahoo mail so common among internet users?

Yahoo is the best email provider i have ever seen. Obviously, yahoo is faster and it provides a larger space. It has simple and strong looks and is really cool with lot of features. Gmail is also becoming excellently attractive now a days.
