E-gold Is Locking Accounts

Hi,
have come across 2 know at leasts 2k of e-gold a/c blocked/ locked
Wat about u all ?
Is ur e-gold safe?

E-gold is not allowing access to certian accounts because of fraud. Many people were using e-gold fro illegal activites and they were investigating all accounts - especially those not in the US. I don't keep up on e-gold as I don't have an account, but at one point they were mentioning blocking all non-US accounts. If I recall correctly, the account - not just the IP - gets closed/blocked/banned.

i don't think they can block All Non-US e-gold accoutn just like that without any reason, if they will do so, e-gold will have to close shop in no time,coz most of their users are NON-US ones.

Actually, they can put a block on any account - US or Non-US - to investigate how the money is being used. Since most of the offenders listed in the original report were non-US (and most companies seem to not like non-US to tranfer around a large amount of money) that puts any non-US under extreme scrutiny. So lets say you have $500 in e-gold and it sits for 2 months then all of a sudden you move it, that is odd activity on the account and puts up a huge red flag.

that's scary. well, i can't access my e-gold account for days. I contacted egold admin already and they said that my IP address could be blacklisted. They suggest i try accessing my account using another Computer. I hope that works. I will have to use another computer and see if i can access my account.. my blog, come and visit: http://spaceofinfluence.blogspot.com

yeah i know, recently e-gold locked dozens of accounts, for what reason i dont know, but many e-gold accounts of BIG companies were blocked including of many hyips and autosurfs as well.
but i am glad that my account is safe, nothing happened to it.

From what I've gathered so far E-gold are blocking accounts of those who are the admins of hyips/forums and members associated with those kind of programs. But it seems they have extended their net further. Many people are unable to receive payments into their accounts but can still make payments. And many who have set up further accounts have had those accounts blocked too...no one knows how this is going to end.
