What is the trait of a good manager?

A qualified managers to face their own life in the protracted war to let their ability to master all aspects of the performance, so that they can allow themselves to continue to accept all the knowledge in this seat to meet different environment. A qualified managers, the first character The second is thinking Communication is the third combat The fourth team for the combat capability. In a qualified manager, if someone was character factor was that supervisors and colleagues, that his career will bring a documented odor, and let people see you a bit out of you to the scope, you kind of new jobs will be affected.

i m a manager but i m not sure that i m kind a good manager. thats way i posting topic discussion in here to make myself more better to be a manager ^_^

Good Managers should lead by example, motivate their team, be assertive without aggression , be able to put their foot down when necessary, empathize with their team, validate their team & communicate with their team. =P

to me thes are traits of a good manager good manager should know what is going on in his departmaent. good manager did not get excited in emergency keep his feet on ground. good manager will not do meeting too long or too small. good manager should have making of brisk and clean decision. good manager should make it clear what is expected from his subordinates. good manager shoul promote personal and professional intrest of his company. good manager will not criticise his subordinates in front of others. good manager never miss chance to commend on his subordinates for the job well done. good manager always accept responsibility for his group and those in it.
