Just how long do we wait before we decide on this question? Once we have chosent he best response does our discussion stop? I wish my lot had a help section!

I wait 1 week or as long as the disculion is active and that wait for 1 week after the last post. But I just saw one discussion with 1 post in it the discusion was 12 min old post was 7 min old and already marked. I would not do it so soon.

I belive you get your star when you reach 100 posts and you are rated on your participation and how well your posts are (rated by other mylot memebres) but dont take my word on this I am just writhing what I have heard (read) before. I am also very new (less than a month).

Hi there I'm wondering how long I have been a mmember of My Lot as it is not very long. I was wondering what does that star by your user name mean I haven't got one yet. What do you get them for? Denise

Well to give everyone a chance, I give it a week to let that discussion die down, then I pick. If I am still getting replies after 7 days, then I just watch for it to slow down and then I pick. But I try not to ever pick until at least 7 days have passed.

The trouble is if you atart many discussions you end up with so much to go through just like I have now as I am trying to respond to all my responds

Usually I wait for at least two weeks unless I see some really good responses. I try to remember and go back to pick the best responses every two weeks, but sometimes, I could be late (how embarrassing). But I clear up my unresolved questions once a month if I am really busy with something else.

Yes once a month seems about right amount of time to ewait

I usually choose my best response when I go in about once a week to my unresolved discussions. I find this way I can keep up and yet get a chance to read all the responses at once. It works for me! I love comparing how the mylotters differ on their responses!

Yes they certainly do differ and sometimes they are virtually the same

I don't think the discussion closes after you choose best response. It's possible some might not comment after they see that you have chosen best response already, but I don't look at that myself, and I respond if I have something to say regardless. I usually wait until I am pretty sure that all the responses that I can expect are in so I can choose wisely, but when you do it is up to you.

Thanks for your response. Now I am wondering whether we get paid if our response turns out to be the best response
