I am a Tom boy...have been all my life. I always did what the boys were doing..getting dirty, scratched up, climbing trees, playing sports like football, ect. I dont like to wear dresses or heels, no makeup, do my hair. I just wear a tshirt/tank top, shorts/pants, brush my hair and put it in a pony tail and Im good to go! Low maitenence is what my hubby says! Hell, he takes longer to get ready than I do!! LOL I was wondering how many of you are girly girls and how many are tom boys.

OK - I admit - I am a girlie girl all the way! I don't feel comfortable going out without makeup, I don't even own a pair of jeans, and I love shopping, fashion, clothes etc. I can get quite upset if I break a nail or get a pimple(!), and I kind of expect men to open doors for me, carry heavy stuff for me, and do all the dirty work!!!

I agree with the "men opening doors for me" I like when they give me that attention.

Well I'm very independant - I have a good degree, and a well-paid job, and I firmly believe that women should get equal pay for equal work, and the same career and educational chances as men..... I just like to dress and be treated like a lady while I do so!! As for the shopping gene - looking at all my girlfriends I thought all women were born with it! LOL!

LOL...I like when my hunny opens a door for me too. But I also Like to do the dirty work. I am independant and like to do things on my own. I hate Shopping for clothes!! Never find what I want or what fits right. Guess I didnt get the shopping gene! LOL

I'm about half way in between. Love to wear the makeup...always have. But I also love to wear the comfy baggy clothes, FLAT shoes, and usually keep my hair in a pony tail, or else in some kind of minimal care style. Heck....the makeup doesn't even take me long to do cuz I don't wear a whole lot. Oh....and I used to climb trees like a monkey when I was a kid. LOL

I am somewhere in between...I hate dresses and shoes of any sort. Sneaks, jeans and a t-shirt is good for me. My hair is short now...you know..run your fingers through it and done. It use to be below my waist when it was braided- had surgery and ended up with a major shaved spot on my scalp and I decided to cut it rather then wait for it to grow. I do not like sports, but I preferred building toys to dolls any day of the week. I am low maintenance as well....make up on special occasions.

I was a tomboy. Outside all the time, in the woods making tree forts. At gym class I would play basketball with the guys. When I was little I wore dresses and such, but as a teenager is was jeans and a shirt. Never had the fancy hair do either. As a grown up I don't have dresses or heels or anything girly..I am happy just being plain. I get dressed, whip my hair into a ponytail and I am good to go...

I always a tomboy until I hit the age of 42. I had to wear dresses and pantsuits to work. That girliefied me for awhile. I miss my tomboy days. But I'm still just a redneck girl!!

I grew up as an only child and lived on a street that had 6 young boy neighbors! I was quite the tomboy! My mom tried her best to make me more girly, but I didn't like the dolls and dresses, I wanted baseballs and bluejeans! As I aged, I have become a bit more girly, but I am still not a frilly/froo-froo girl!

I think I am a bit of both as I don't like to wear dresses and only have to for special occasions. I prefer pants or jeans and tops or shirts too. However I do like my hair to me nice and done up LOL

TOM BOY 100% and PROUD. Played football with the boys when I was younger, hated and still hate dresses, had pet lizards and bugs growing up, and the boys toys were always way better than those meant for girls. I didnt have any dolls, well I think I did have one but I gave it a hair cut and dont know what happened to it! Was always climbing trees and getting dirty, I guess I have mellowed out about since I got married, dont climb trees anymore! I have to say I was glad when I had a son as I was dreading having to play with girls toys!!!

I guess you could say I'm a lil bit of both. I love wearing my jeans and tshirts and baseball cap, I love camping, sports, and nascar, and I work for the forestry, so makeup, skirts and such dont go to well with what I do lol However, it is nice to get dressed up, and go out, which we do a few times a year. Yep, my s/o calls me low maintenance, and wouldn't have it any other way. It's kind of funny because I have a older sister that is very high maintenance, won't go out without her makeup and hair done, unlike me, give me a brush and a ponytail and I'm good to go. The funny part, I have two daughters, my youngest is like me, and my oldest is the high maintenance one! lol

I'm not as bad as I used to be. But, I used to be a real girly girl. I had to look good at all times, no matter what I was doing. I never used to even put my hair in a pony tail. It had to be hanging, and perfectly combed. Now, when I'm at home, my hair is pulled back in a ponytail, and I don't wear a bra, and I don't even care if my clothes are perfectly matched. I'm a real slob. lol

I laughed inside. Sure I do want the elegant feminine touch, but a tomboy is pretty cool too. Don't let anyone drag you through the mud over it Copper. I laughed when I saw your hubby takes longer to get ready. I just say, if you wanna live a certain way, do it. Especially since its most comfortable for you.

I'm some where in the middle. I enjoy getting all fancied up if an ocassion arises, but I am most comfy in jeans and a t-shirt. On my bad days its sweats and sweatshirts, but that's a different discussion. When I was growing up my brothers loved to taunt me with bugs and nasty little creatures, as I'd run and scream. But I'd be right there with them climbing trees and doing yard work, fixing the fence or our bikes. I'll still run and scream if you come at me with a snake, but I love to get out and help my man with the tinkering on the vehicles.

I know I'm definitely not a girly girl. The tom-boy thing suits me better anyways. It is very relaxed and I never have to worry how I look all the time. And I can't stand make-up.

I'm in between, I think. I don't like dresses/skirts/makeup, but neither do I like getting dirty or climbing trees. I do spend a bit of time on my hair, but it usually ends up in a ponytail because not much else works.

I am a total tom boy. No make up, no pink, no manicures, no dresses (I even gave all of them away a few years ago). I'm ultra low maintenance and like that way. My ultrs femme friends don't understand, but I am who I am.

LOL... I am a tom boy, I grew up with two brothers and their mates...I would much rather have been out kicking a football rather than playing dolls. And now I get stuck into cars and bikes..

i'm in between i guess. i climbed trees and got dirty but i wasn't really into sports. i only wore dresses when i had to. i pull my hair up in a ponytail but with 3 kids thats just easier and keeps the spit up out of my hair lol. I mostly wear tshirts and shorts or pants but i've been trying to dress a little nicer while still staying in that comfort zone.

I guess I can say I am a tomboy most of the time but when it comes to going out I like to feel and look like a woman. But most of the time I do not wear makeup or do my hair. I only do it on special occasions.

OMG I am a straight tom boy to my heart!!! Where I lived when I was growing up there weren't too many other girls to play with. At one point if I didn't play with the other boys, I would have had to stay in the house. I used to race around the neighborhood, wrestle, hike through the woods, climb trees, catch cats (although I couldn't bring myself to torture them), bugs, worms, the whole nine. Now that I am twenty-six, I have mellowed out a little. I do like to dress up every now and again, but when I do, I am so ready to get out of the get-up its rare that I do dress up. I definately rock t-shirts, jeans/shorts, flat, slide-in gym shoes, Its nice to look pretty, but its heaven to be comfortable!!!
