Is your romance based on fiction or it is an offspring of genuine love?

Many youngsters are greatly influenced by Mills and Boons and the like and romance starts and live in their own world, expecting results to be more romantic!! Comments please.

Hi ssh123! I remember when I was young, I am such a hopeless romantic. Thinking that my prince charming will just sweep me away from the madness of the world. But that didn't happen of course, it is kinda similar but entirely different. The feeling of love as you read on those novels are true but the situations are not so full of drama and twists. I guess, that is the fun of being young, living in a dream world. So, let them enjoy and soon enough love will find a way in their real world. Take care and have a nice day!

I think that mine is very common with genuine love. There is nothing special so far as romance is concerned as ours is just so traditional. We both are conservative ones, yet we are used to our ordinary romance if that can be called romance to your standard. Smiling.

As long as husband and wife are able to smile at each other, everyday, there is no need for extra ordinary romance. It is understood that there is romance.

Most of the youngsters are inspired by novels and try to put that in practice. The maturity comes after they reach say 18 to 20 I suppose.

Do you know why did the most of the Romantic poets die early? Because they had been so engrossed with the make believe world of love and romance that they could not survive the ephemeral world. Yes, they loved to dwell on a different world altogether where nature, love, relationships were eternal and beautiful, they craved for more and more of this world but reality is harsh with facts. All I want to say is that there is a difference between romance and love. Romance results from tender hearts while true love from maturity. Hope you get my point.
