This may sound stupid, but first of all, do you have Power Point? It doesn't come automatically with Vista.

I learned how to do Power Point from my kids, who learned it in school! Whatever happened to good ol' reading, writing, and arithmatic? Now they have Keyboarding, Power Point, Outlook, and Marketing Yourself! Go find a fourteen year old and pay him/her to tutor you! LOL, but not really

Here are some of the important steps to do a powerpoint presentation. 1. Open the powerpoint and open a new slide. You will see a lot of slides, each one has its specific role. For example you'll have an empty slide, or a slide which already contains textboxes. Its better you choose an empty slide and design the slide according to your needs. 2. After the new slide(assuming to be an empty slide) is open, you can design the slide. If you want to add text to your slide, you can add a textbox to the slide(by selecting the text box icon in the drawing toolbar or from Insert-Textbox from menu at the top). 3. Draw the textbox on the slide and you can type in the text. 4. For animations of the slides, you can go to SlideShow-Custom Animations from the menu at the top and you can set animations for the all the characters you have included in your slide 5. You can include new slides by pressing Ctrl+M or you can go to Insert-NewSlide. Hope this information was of some help!!
