Why is it hard to speak to your parents? They have loved and taken care of you from your first moment of life! Are you frightened, or do you just feel awkward? Just ask the simplest question to stop the silence... how are you feeling? What are your plans for today? Just say 'I love you'! I have 2 daughters and a son... if we couldn't talk about everything it would break my heart! We have no secrets from each other, and we laugh and talk all the time! Family relationships are the best because you can usually trust family with all of your thoughts, hopes, and dreams.

I agree to you alamode. Good communication between parents and siblings are important. So as to husband's and wives. I dont often see my parents coz im married now and living with my house, and my parents are so far away from us but I often do text to them or call likewise to my in-laws. By talking thru phone makes us more closer.

Yes... its good that you want to have open communication! We stayed living near my family so I was lucky, but we made sure to contact my husband's family as often as we could.

Hi greeny! Are you afraid of confrontation? DO you find it hard to express what you really feel inside when your parents are in front of you? Hmmmm... how about writing a letter? Write or Type in the computer all of your thoughts and what you feel that they should know. Write down those things that you cannot express or speak right in front of them. Then, print it out and leave the letter in their room or something. =) Surely, it will be the start that you'll be open things up with your parents. I wish you the best! Take care and God bless! \(",)_

lol, a lot of young people find it difficult to talk to their parents, but you have to start trying. Just start small, talk about the day, the weather, anything. Before you know it you will be talking more and more. My Mom and I talk everyday and I miss it when I can't call her to tell her something special about my day. Talk to your parents, they love you and will understand.
