If you opne it, all of your files and information will disapper from you PC and the person who sent it will get all your personal informations like your IP, name, address, password and email address. Hi pal sorry to say but this is a hoax which has been circulating for 5 years or so now. "Before forwarding a virus warning email, it is always a good idea to check that the information in the message is valid. Virus hoaxes are quite common, and like this one, they tend to circulate for years after they are first launched. In other cases, virus warnings that may have been originally true circulate long after the described virus has ceased to be a significant threat. Virus hoaxes and outdated warnings are no help to anybody. All they do is waste time, cause confusion and needlessly clutter inboxes. Such problems mean that forwarding warning emails may not be the best way to help battle viruses and other computer security threats." Details about this hoax can be found at: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/life-is-beautiful-virus-hoax.html Microsoft and Yahoo and AOL do not send out virus warnings. Not sure why people create this silly hoaxes apart from to scare those not as tech-savvy as themselves. I always check any emailed warnings such as this one you've posted before forwarding as years ago I got really told off by some pals for "believing everything you read" LOL :)

anonymili, this is came from our office adminstration, they have told us in our personal intranet so I did not feel to check it. Plus after doing fake alerts, if some time they really send the virus ? So isn't it better to just be extra careful when there is possibility and also to remind people about it? Moreover, ofcourse many people out there who are not so much internet savvy or expert whatever, may be this alert can help them more thn other. As it was a University official alert I thought I might let all my friends know the thing. If fake, thats better. You know what I mean?

Its acually the alert from our office adminstration, so you will get only the email containing the virus not the alert thru Yahoo or hotmail. I thought its better to atleast let you know so I posted. Hope it will help dear!

I make it a habit to never open emails from any source not in my address book. Even those friends here that ask for mine I offer it but tell them I need theirs first so I can add it to my address book otherwise it goes right into the spam pile and gets deleted. Got to be safe here I say. Thanks for this info even though I never see any type of mail like this unless I look into my spam folders. HAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Me too, I try not to open any mail what don't know. But for me and many others, who are in several other sites, sometime forget to add the address to wishlist or got a very new site which is not added to the wishlist, in that case I miss those mail in junk and its too hard to check all th junk. Yes, just another reminder, we never know when it actually happen and in what for. Have a great day BOB!

Yeah this is the very reason I don't open emails from people I don't know or with no name on them. Jerks that make this stuff get on my last nerve. Thanks for posting this alert, the more that know the better.
