Be straight or lie?

Would you tell the true or lie if there's a situation you must tell something? An example: I'm ill and I told my mother I'm good, because if I tell her the true she will worry about me and I don't want it. So I think I will be OK in some days but I lied to my mother so it's not the best feeling. What do you do when you've same situation?

Don't you think that your mother will be mad if she finds out you lied to her? So now, not only is she going to worry about you being ill, now she will be mad that you lied to her. The truth is always, and I mean ALWAYS the best option.

I didn't write it before but my mother has a serious hearth problem so if I tell her the truth she starts to worry and that's the worst for her hearth. So that's the reason why I lie to her. And she can't find I lie because I see her only at sundays because I work far from my mother.

But what if she does find out? It will only be worse. If she finds out you lied to her, there will be cause for mistrust. And that is much worse.
