Do you enjoy books on tape or CD? I have been "reading" more books this way the last few months because of my weight loss plan. The plan was to do more walking, so I purchased a stack of books on tape to listen while walking. This makes the time go by a lot easier and makes walking more enjoyable.

I always read from a novel. My daughter, on occassion, has listened to books on tapes. Actually your idea is very good indeed. I hate exercise, & only enjoy walking occasionally. Maybe listening to a story on tape would help me to get motivated to walk. And this, loose weight. Good thinking & thanks for sharing that with us.

Thanks for the reply. I was tired of listening to music and one of my neighbors suggested it to me. He thought that would help me stick to the plan. I'm doing well by drinking lots of water and have lost weight.

Though I'll admit that I've never attempted to "listen" to a book the thought of it really doesnt appeal to me in all honesty...I like to sit with a book and a cup of tea and actually READ my books PLUS for me, certain voices annoy the hell out of me and if it jsut so happened that the book reader had one of "those" voices I would be really ticked off LOL

I have had readers drive me straight up a wall, so can understand the wrong person reading the book can be a huge turnoff. Thanks for the reply.

I prefer to read the book itself. Years ago I had a few cassette tapes of books and hated them actually. Too much to concentrate on. I seem to get a better "picture" of the storyline reading it rather than having it read to me. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Thanks for the reply. I will admit sitting down with the book means more time to concentrate on the storyline.
