SUGAR OR SALT ON YOUR GRITS?

I live in the south and we put salt on our grits but I've heard of people eating them with sugar. What about you?

I live in the south also, but I like sugar and butter on my grits. I grew up in Alabama, but never ate many grits until I moved to TN.

Thanks, Someone told me once they put sugar on theirs because they consider it a hot cereal. I guess we like what we like.

I've heard lots of people don't like them. My youngest son loves them and eats them just about every day.
