The Sermon On The Mount.

The gospel of Matthew, chapters 5,6,& 7 contain what many people consider the greatest teachings the world has ever known. What has become known as The Sermon On The Mount, contains a blueprint for life, which I believe all who would call themselves Christians, are are bound to try to follow. Sometimes overzealous Christians are criticized for pushing their religion on others, and there are times when the disapproval is justified. There is one way however, to testify to your faith, that no one can find fault with, and that is to live it. When John The Baptist sent his disciples, to ask if Jesus was the one whom he had said was coming, Jesus didn't just say yes. He said instead, go and tell John the things that I am doing. This is the answer my friends, if we strive to live as Christ taught, we won't have to say anything, people will be asking for our secret. Let us study The Sermon On The Mount, until it becomes a part of our very being. Then and only then will we truly have something to offer others.

I really enjoyed your comments. If we truely seek to be wise we must hear Jesus' teachings and obey them! If we do we can became better Christians. We can give God the glory He so richly deserves. We can bring the light of the gospel to others. And we can receive all the blessings God has to offer.

Hi Pose123, very wise words and you are so right.. Unfortunately it is so hard to live it, I try but I fail so many times, like it says, I do what I shouldn't do, and I don't do what I should.. But thank G♥d that he sent Jesus to help us through our falls... blessings ^O^

I've learned something from your Post tonight! Even as a non Christian the lesson of the "Sermon on the Mount" is obvious. "Do not as I say, but as I do!" Thanks!

Hi barehugs, Thanks for commenting. These teachings are for everyone. I do not judge anyone for their beliefs, and yes, it's not what we say but what we do that shows our true character. Blessings my friend.
