Two Separate Stories Yet Same: Eight Cats Found In Freezer

This is really sick. I was listening to the news on the radio, and it was about a Landlord who went to the home of one of his tenants, a Debra L. Thomas in Hunterdon County, NJ. Expecting to go there to try and get back rent that she owed him, he wasn't prepared for the discovery he made. Apparantly, the woman high-tallied it, taking some of her other pets that she owned, but had stuffed the bodies of eight cats in bags into her freezer!
Back in June the landlord had pressed charges already against her, as when he was trying to collect rent from her as far back as June, discovered the home filled with animal feces from her pets.

All I can say, that I feel sorry for the other pets this woman may have had. This was a clear case of animal abuse on this woman's part and no doubt suffered from some kind of mental disorders.
The second story is in a way similar, but different...It has to do with a family that lives in the city of Rosebush in Isabella County. The family discovered the animals, about eight cats Tuesday morning at the family's farm and it looked as if someone deliberately stranggled or drown the eight cats that were found in the family barn and it is though that someone was deliberately trying to get back at the family somehow...To put it mildly this family is paranoid, as they don't know if someone will try and harm their other animals, including farm animals and the horses that they own

This is really sick!! I hope they find her and lock her up. It also makes me wonder why the landlord wasn't going by to check up on his rentals more. We live in an apartment and we have an inspection every 3 months and the manager comes in every other month with the bug sprayer guy. She knows if there are any problems with any of the apartments.

I once rented a house from a woman who was like that. She had ppl renting the house before us that kept rabbits in hutches in the living room letting the nice hard wood floors catch their "droppings". It was a nightmare for her to get it back up to standards but in all the time the ppl lived there she never once went in and checked it out.

I hope they find the woman too...I guess with that landlord's case, maybe he was the type that just didn't concern himself with his tenants as long as they were paying rent..he only started going to her place when she was late with the rent

Some people in this world act more like an animal than the animals. Mistreatment of animals is one of the lowest and most haneous acts a person can commit. These people are nothing but POND SCUM!!!
I am horrified by these stories and others like it.
I think I am going to go give my dog a great big hug and just hold her for awhile.

wow i cant believe how cruel people can be to animals,i couldnt even read the whole story,it mad me so sad to think that someone can be so cruel.no animal desrves that no matter what.i feel so sorry for that family,its so sad.just horrible thats all i can really say.take care.pattie

Oh I dare not read thos stories as I will be crying all day, I think people should be punished more harshly for treating any animals in a cruel way as they can not speak for themselves, we should be speaking for them...this soert of thing makes me so angry....

OMG, that is a couple of the worst stories I've heard for a while! I can't believe anyone would be so cruel to helpless animals! That is so horrible! Those poor cats! And that poor family whose cats were murdered. OMG!

I just can't bring myself to watch the videos, but mental disorder? I don't buy it anymore. If I had the power, I would do unto these people what they have done to other living beings. Then we'll know if it really is mental disorder.

There are way too many sick people in this world, pyewacket. These stories are both tragic in every sense of the word. It seems that some people should not be allowed to have pets just as some should not be allowed to have children. I do know that deliberate harming of pets is a sign of some type of insanity. They used to have places for the insane, but, unfortunately, there are not so many left.

I honestly dont understand why people do things like this. And why do people keep getting more animals when they already have so many? They dont need more!It really upsets me people do stuff like this - they should be locked up in jail!

A person who can harm an innocent animal in such ways needs to be punished and ban from owning animals. These stories sicken me, I have had pets all my life and have been around friends family pets and I believe that if someone can drown 8 cats- they are capable of much more and need to be stopped before it really goes to far- as if killing 8 cats isn't far enough ;(

The world is full of a lot of sick people and I think that they should go to jail for the crime that they have committed against those innocent animals. I also think that they shouldn't be able to own another animal for as long as they live for.

Those are both really sick and sad stories. I'm always worried about animal abuse and wish it would be taken more seriously. If people would be procecuted and screened for animal murder and abuse then we would have at the very least 50% less people murders and abuse every day. It's been prooven time and time again that people who abuse and kill animals go on to abuse and kill people almost every time. It's not only something horrible for animals to go through but a major sign of a serial killer that shouldn't be over looked.

Both these stories are horrific! There was one that was just as horrible here in Alanta earlier this week. A man was stealing neighborhood cats & kittens. He would then injure them & then give them to his pitbull to kill. He actually had a picture on his cell phone of his dog with a mutilated kitten in his mouth. The caption said "good dog!" I haven't been a member of MyLot long enough to paste a link. I'm not sure if I could paste a link in a PM yet. However If I can and if anyone wants to read the story.
