Picture...What?

I have a picture on the left wall beside my computer that is my absolute favorite. It is one a blonde stick figure with a ponytail in a uniform with a bat. She's getting read to try to hit the ball and the caption below says, "That all you got?" When I saw the picture years ago I 'had' to buy it. I love baseball, but more than that, I liked her plucky attitude. It just captures a spirit I admire. Do you have a favorite picture in your house/apartment? What does it look like or what does it say? I look forward to reading everyone's replies...

I now have one of those pictures that I just HAD to buy too. I used to get this catalog called Pyramid Collection, and they sell all sorts of things, but one of them was a print by Melissa Harris. It's a picture of a woman with her back toward you, her hands up and floating all around her are butterflies..the name of it is "Anything Is Possible"---and so true..you can see what the painting looks like here http://www.melissaharris.com/

Yes, I remember this! I think you posted a link to it in a previous discussion. It's a wonderful picture, and I can see why you treasure it. I hope people reading this discussion go check it out, because it really isn't to be missed.

I have a picture that will go in my new house that is different colors of browns and it had red and black graffiti writing all over it. It has some of the lyrics to 'Abbey Road' written on it too. I'm not a real big fan of The Beatles, but it was too awesome a picture to pass up in the store. I love abstract and metal art too.

It sounds really unique. I think a lot of people limit themselves when they declare that abstract or sculpture art is too 'out there.' I think a lot of people like the art, but are too proud to admit it once they change their mind.

I have a picture of my black labrador as a screensaver, in one of his best poses, on my computer, such a pleasure to see every time I switch on the comp.

Kitty and Tiger - It is how YOU see yourself that counts!
Yes, I do, and here it is! It says...What matters most is how you see yourself.

Well I am not realy artist , or I would call myself artist.I just like to do all kinds of creative things(decoration, writing, ..)and one of that is drawing.I believe you can learn how to draw even if you do not have talent. It s just about hard work and you can reach a goal.

Is there a picture that you enjoyed growing up in your household? Or wherever you are staying right now?

My favorite picture in my home has got to be a black and white picture of what appears to be a toddler outside sitting on a ceramic pitcher concentrating on going potty. Sounds gross, I know, but it is really a cute picture. :)

No it doesn't sounds gross at all. It sounds like a picture that captures childhood rather well.

At home we do not hang pictures as we do not have nice pictures to hang. Nice pictures cost money so we made our own master pieces. They are not allowed to be hanged as my mum forbids it. She finds it so messy and untidy. lol.

I bet you did a self portrait and she was scared to see two of the big heads. : ) I guess North Americans are not that particular, because most of us can't afford those expensive really nice pictures. There's a lot of reasonably priced, attractive pictures to buy anyway.

I have a poster of David Bowie in my room. My friend gave it to me years ago. It's from 1972, and it's got a red background, and Bowie's wearing leopard print pants and a sparkled shirt, and sitting in a chair holding a picture of himself.I think the picture has been in my room for at least 15 years.
