I think that the older you get the more your taste buds change and adapt to new foods, and even old foods that you never liked before. You see when we are children our tastebuds are clean and fresh. So now when you get older and start smoking, drinking coffee, brushing harder on your teeth, or all the other general things you could do to your mouth to make your taste buds change, the things that did not taste so great to us when we were younger now may taste good or better to us. When I was younger I used to gag when ever my mom would fix lima beans (butter beans), or brussle sprouts. Now as I am older and have done a lot to my mouth and taste buds, i find that the lima beans are not as bad as they used to be, but still gross, and I like brussle sprouts. I have brussle srpouts at least 2 times a month now, and have learned to like them, I never thought I would. Thank you for the interesting topic, and you will have to let me know the recipe for the eggplant I have never tried it, and would like to someday.

I would have to say red bell peppers. I always thought they would be too hot or lose their taste after being cooked, but they are delicious, whether they be raw or cooked.

What's to laugh at? I have never eaten a green bell pepper either, but I didn't know I was obligated to mention that.

You can usually find red and green bell peppers in the produce section of a grocery store. They are mostly sold whole, but I've seen some stores carry them sliced and held in a small plastic container.
