I just got into cross stiching and for me it has been the best experience i could possibly hope for. It is really wonderfull to see the things that you can create with your hands and to actually see the creating going through its process. I love doing this even though at times it can get a little tough and i can get tangled every now and again. How did everyone else get into cross stiching? My fiance introduced it to me and i have been doing it ever since. It really calms me down after work and me and my fiance will sit in bed together doing cross stich. It really is funny to wittness the two of us together. But every now and again you get to a spot that you have to stop either do to hand cramp or you are stiff from sitting for so long.

I also cross stitch. I learned it when I was in high school and I find it cool. It is so nice to see the product of your patience. I finished some and still stitching my Angel of Grace. Actually I started my Angel of Grace a couple of years ago but then I became busy at that time so I stopped. Now I started to stitch little by little hopefully I will finish this soon.

I think my mother got me into it. She is into a lot of crafts and was always trying to get me and my siblings into that kind of stuff. My sister and I both Cross Stitch, I often make presents for people. I find cross stitching helps with my insomnia and my depression. I love watching a canvas take shape with color.

I agree. For me seeing a picture emerge from a blank piece of fabric with little stitches is amazing. It never ceases to amaze me. I've been stitching since 1991 when I moved to Missouri. My Mom actually opened the door for me when I was in the hospital having major surgery and she bought me a pre-printed pillow with a little elephant with toys on it. Theres a pic of it on my photos if you'd like to see it. After that pillow I started teaching myself how to do counted cross stitch and once I started on that...I've never left it. I'll upload some more pics of my works. Right now I'm working on a set of large peacocks for my Mom and then I'm starting a picture of the Rainbow Bridge for my Petey and all the other pets I've lost over the years.
