Yes! Im proud to be pinoy.. to those filipino who are not prou to be pinoy, shame on you! because you are short of saying that you are not proud to your parents nationality, they who were born in the philippines, raised in the philippines and learned in the philippines. you! who are in other country, riding and enjoying the benefits of their success, shame on you!you who are born in the philippines, be proud! there are ways of filipinos you cannot be proud of, but don't be ashame of being a filipino. Be proud of it! Educate yourself of things we filipinos accomplished, you may think twice for being not proud to be one..

This is what I was told, God made a man and left him in kilt too long, and said this is not right, then God made man again, and didn't leave him long enough in the kilt, and said this is not right, then God made man, in his image and God said Ah Filipino!

I AM PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO! Wherever you go there is a Filipino so that is one thing I am proud of. We are like mushrooms. You can see Filipinos anywhere. They grow and become progressive anywhere. As long as there are people living in a place, there is a Filipino. You doubt me...surf the net. We are unique in so many ways. By the way, I am curious about your "username". What does that mean? When I tried to read it, it sounds "western" to me. Take care =)

Yes of course I am really proud for being Pinoy and there is nothing to be ashamed of. I just don't like the economy and environment but it does not mean that I am suppose to be ashamed for being a Pinoy and there is no point at all. I also like the Filipino culture but not at all. I could represent myself to other people for being proud as a Filipino by showing the traits that other countries does not have like being hospitable to other people even the foreigners. By being respectful to other people and being responsible.

Proud Filipina here. Well, our fellow Filipino have nothing to be ashamed of, since our country is called the Pearl of the Orient. Philippines has a rich natural resources, we also have a lot of wonderful tourist spots to be proud of, and above these, the people are so nice, no doubt. Oh, let's not forget our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, who is also popular around the world.

Oo naman. Syempre. Kailangan pa bang imemorize yan. lol I am proud to be a Filipino. You see, I think we have a lot of things which we cannot be proud of. In the face of other nationalities, our blemishes are surely gonna make us blush. I mean, look at us. Our imperfections are all around the place. It's like we've made a mess of ourselves in every part of the world. But that is beyond my concern. I am a Filipino and I am thankful that being one has a lot of positivities to dwell into too. There are I think far more aspects about being a Filipino which we can be proud of than those we shouldn't be. That being said, I think being proud of one's nationality must go beyond its benefits. If we would want to become a great nation, then we should have more and more people who are proud of their race, not because of any promise or what, but simply because you are. I want to arrive at such an appreciation of my race.

hate to break your bubble dear but most of our taxes goes to the pocket of our elected officials... We can however find some other means to help our county like asking for a receipt even toll fees, using and buying Filipino made products and by voting wisely to name a few...

Yes. I am proud to be a Filipina even if we are subject to racism. Those who malign our race does not know our history. We were once a proud race with our own civilization even before the spanish invasion. We had our own culture, our own language and our own alphabet, not alibata, but writings similar to our asian neighbors. Filipinos have been subjected to foreign cultures and stripped of our own because of invasions. We were brought up thinking that foreign goods are always better than what we have produced. Sadly, some of us still thinks that way that is why we are being looked down by other nations. They say we have no culture of our own and that our culture is borrowed from other cultures. They are right in a way, some of our culture IS taken from other cultures, but do we have a choice? Filipinos are what we are now a smorgasbord of a lot of cultures combined to form a new Filipino race. If only Filipinos can be proud of who we are then we will be respected if not in our time then hopefully by the time of our children. I am a Filipina. I rather use Happee toothpaste made by Filipinos than Colgate or Close-up. Not only because it almost have the same quality but because by doing so I am helping the workers (they even hire our disabled countrymen) who works in their factory and because I am helping the Filipino economy by doing so. I rather use Filipino made slippers rather than Havainas because they break just as easily and I consider it stupid to buy something for so much just because of the name. If your a Filipino and proud to one then support our economy. oh and always ask for a receipt.

Some are not.. But I am. I'd rather live here where I have neigbors I can talk to... Where I can cook all those smelly foods and neighbors won't complain or report you to the police instead they knock on your door and tells you it smells good and ask how you cook and me ending up giving them some...I love my country ... I just don't like the way some of our politician manage things...
