Well friends and others here on myLot, I haven't been on myLot all weekend due to some heavy fun times. My niece and her boyfriend came down from Superior Wisconsin. I spent all day Saturday at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival . The Sunday I spent all day at the Minnesota State Fair. I spent about 15 hours at the Renaissance Festival and 13 hours at the State Fair, I've got hundereds of emails to ready and respond and/or comment on and many many photos to edit before I start any discussions. My weekend was funfilled and a blast. I've a few hours at least of work to do before I am busy here with starting a few discussions. So have a great day/evening all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It sounds like a great way to spend the weekend. I missed the state fair this year, as it was just to hot, but hopefully next year will attend. The county fair was a lot of fun and seeing my daughter's latch hook get a first place ribbon was great and she was glad to have $4.00, which means dollars for college. She entered some of her crafts and received many red ribbons, which were $3.00. I told her to work on more items in her free time and she wanted to know when she has free time. I said when she is watching television. Have a great evening.

Well good for you, we have had rain just about everyday here and with the remodeling of our house and with the humid weather we have been having we spent the weekend indoors working on the house. I just got a email last week on our Renaissance here in Plantersville, Texas and it starts the beginning of October, I am going to get our tickets next week, can't wait to go, I have so much fun at those. Be well, my friend!

Wow! Two whole days at festivals & fairs. Its good that you get out & about. But expensive I guess. Our Adelaide Show starts in exactly five days. We are attending in exactly one week. My daughter is SO excited. She has already decided on what show bags she will buy, & has a fair idea of what rides to go on. The onkly dampener on the show this ytear, is that all horses have been banned. This is die to Equine Flu.

My niece paid for me at the RenFest which was around $200 she spent on me. Yippyyyy! Hee hee hee. The fair, the wife and I spent only $125 or so is all. So not too bad actually. That's a bummer. At the RenFest I almost went on either a camel ride or a llama ride but decided the smell was too overpowerful for me. YUCK!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Wow--that sounds fantastic...living in a city area, we don't have anything like state fairs or Renaissance...One day though I would love to go to the Renaissance fair that they have up at The Cloisters which is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art...it is a trip though :(

I live in a city area as well. The State Fair is maybe 10 miles or so from me. But the RenFest was about 50 miles away. Well worth the trip though. Discussions to follow soon enough. Hee hee. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am looking forward to hearing about all your fun at the fairs. I went to a friend's yesterday and she roated us out of her home. She did not turn on the air conditoner and it was 102 out side. The we tried to watch to movie the Queen and we could not hear it. Her flat screen 42" TV was on as loud as possible and we could not hear it. I slept through some of it. She has leather furniture I wore shots so I stuck to her couch. I was misterable when I got home last night. Oh well live and learn
