Obviously this is not the only nut job annoying 911 call centers. It would be logical that the National Association of Police Chiefs would have assigned a team to this problem by now.
With modern cell phone technology the police can get differences in the power of the signal at various cell phone towers indicating an approximation of the distance from the cell phone towers. This is why the police already know the neighborhood it is coming from.
The Israelis have helicopters with radios direction finders capable of determining individual cell phones and can locate a target while the caller is still on the phone even if the target is in a moving car or in a building. I am sure the US military has this capability already also.
The real news story should be delving into why no arrest already.

How horrible of a joke to play on the cops and fire department. One of these days the guy is going to need help and the police is not going to respond because of all the wolf crying this guy is doing.
I cannot beleive someone is so sick to play such a trick on some organizations. Do you think it is some type of terriorizm? Get the police divorted and hurt people elsewhere or rob a bank or something like that.

What a shame. I sure do hope they find him soon. I am sure he will slip up somewhere..He is just someone wanting attention and when he really needs it no one will be there for him...
