Shouting across the Grand Canyon

I've been to the Grand Canyon, and it is breathtaking. But I kind wanted to just shout something and see if it echoed, and how loud it was if I shouted really intensely. Of course, I was on vacation with my family, and there were others around, so I didn't. But if you were going to be at the Grand Canyon, as close as you choose, what would you shout out against the massive backdrop of a stunning creation? I believe I would shout, "Look ma, I made it!" First of all, I don't call my mother 'ma'. Secondly, I've been there before, so there is no need to remind my mother I'm there. It just sounds like a goofy thing to say, so that is what I'd choose. How about you? You're there, standing near the massive Canyon's edge, and what do you shout?

The Grand Canyon is a nice gift to humans by God. If I had the chance to be there, I would shout at my top voice saying, "I love you, dear Grand Canyon." It would be very nice to hear the echo of our own like swirling wind. Thanks for your imaginative discussion.

Your welcome. You are absolutely right, God gave us a wonderful gift when he gave us the Grand Canyon. Some scholars believe the Canyon was formed during the flood that Noah built his ark for.

Well, I was a kid, so I yelled "Hello" But only after my brother & sister had done it. I would never say anything first when I was a kid.

oh I am sure this is a breathtaking experience..seeing such a wonderful place, being there..feeling so little and however so happy and proud to be there..wow..I think this is a sort of experience to remember and cherish..I love travelling and I have just come back from Egypt and this was just one of the best travels I have ever made. it really moved me and I am sure that i will be deeply touched b the Grand Canyon, too. I hope I will go there one day or another and yes...of course it will be beautiful being there alone and scream...I can't figure what..I think I would scream aloud all the pain I have known so far, against all the bad people who tried to destroy me and tell them...yes...LOOK AT ME NOW..I AM HERE, I AM STRONGER AND BETTER NOW..YOU FAILED..I SUCCEEDED..Yes, maybe I will shout this...thanks for sharing this terrific experience with us..

LOL, I'd love to do that, but it's like 75 dollars. If someone asked me for that amount of money, I'd be tempted to use your line.

I have actually been there and it was so breathtaking I couldn't have said a thing ...for the first three stops anyway at the lookouts....I will say, if I went again and someone asked me to go out on the new glass observation point I would say something different!!! It would be two words. H*ll No..

Hello AmbiePam Wow, and with other people there? that is a tough question. And if there are other people and they are not yelling something, I think I would be too embarrassed and hope that someone else would yell..lol

Oh no, in this situation this would be an opportunity that would afford us the nerve and privacy to yell by ourselves.

OK, but if I get to the bottom of the canyon and there is no money, well, let's just say you'll have a 10 day start for me not to catch you.

I don't know - what's up doc? I would definitely do it and having friends there would likely make more bold. I used to go to airports with a friend and sit on the car and scream when the airplanes went overhead - talk about endorphin rush!

Wow! I've always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon, but I guess I'd just have to wait for some time before I can be there. I live in the Philippines that's why. But definitely the Grand Canyon is in my destination list once I can afford to travel to other countries. I think I'd shout "I'm the King of the World", nah.... I can't think what I want to shout if I'm there just yet. I'd cross the bridge when I get there, LOL...

I am sure the Grand Canyon have to be place where you really want to shout something. But I don't think I would.I am too shy to shoud and also I don't know how to really shout.I have very weak voice and I have problem to speak louder, not to shout. Now just pop to my head idea, I would probably shout "hey ambie Pam I made it too"lol. But after that I would be probably speechless for one week after real loud shouting.

You are too funny, LOL. I would be too shy I think, but sometimes I get a burst of insane courage, and if I got that at the Grand Canyon, I might just shout it out. : )
