from time immemorial, man has been interested in trying to control them with preventive and curative steps. The Medicine Man, the Priest, the Herbalist and Magician, all undertook various studies and researches, but in vain? What is your opinion?

It is not easy to give a good reply for me even after I have thought about it over and over again. Well, I would still like to try to see whether I can relate to and get to the point of this discussion. I would like to take myself for an example. I remember when I was a little kid, I was very naughty as to hurt myself by running wild in the street with my playmates, chasing each other for fun. All of a sudden I bumped myself to a cart full of iron bars, which hurt my left eye so badly. My eye was burning like a fire, so painful. I cried all the way home to my mom, who found my left eye swollen and put some toothpaste on the outside of it. It really worked after a few hours. It was about one month later when I caught a cold and my left eye got swollen again because of the cold. So this was the first time that my eye got swollen because of catching a cold, followed by many other times like this in my childhood. Each time when this happened, I was so painful and had to stay in hospital for many days as long as at least half a month that quite influenced my primary study. This had happened back and forth and I stayed in hospital every year for this. I was in despair because the doctors said they could do nothing to completely cure this disease. Then one day my parents were told to go to visit some famous fortune-teller who was quite able to help people cure many strange diseases that the doctors were unable to cure. My parents paid a visit to the fortune-teller sincerely hoping to get some effective medicine to help cure the disease that I was suffering from. The fortune-teller gave a very accurate annswer to where we lived and what I was doing then. She guessed completely right by saying that I was lying in bed having a sound sleep and said that I was a pretty boy. Hearing this, my parents were so astonished. Later the fortune-teller told my parents some special medicine for me to take. After taking that special medicine, I was completely cured. I have to say that my mother went to the balcony every morning before sunset to pray for me, which was part of the job that the fortune-teller told my mother to do. I am glad to say that ever since then when I caught a cold, never have I had my left eye swollen again. This special something I found later is the centipede for medicine. I was so shocked to happen to find it in one of the drawers in our house. I was so scared to see the dried centipedes and couldn't dare to even step one forward to the drawer. But it was just the centipedes that saved me from sufferings. It was boiled in water and I drank the green water though it tastes a little bitter. Years later after I graduated from college and started my teaching job, I asked my parents to help me buy a large bucket of oil and sent it to the fortune-teller to express my greatest gratitude to her as I was working so far away from my hometown. Right now I still keep that gratitude to both my loving parents and the fortune-teller in my heart sincerely. Ok. That's my own story about what happened to me when I was a kid. I think that fortune-tellers can do something to cure people while doctors have no other way to. Maybe you might think that this is something mysterious. Yes, I have been wondering about this, too. This is another lengthy story, yet it is a true story I have ever experienced. Thanks for reading. I hope that my response is not off the point and has something to do with the topic. Good night, dear ssh.

"It took quite a long time for me to read and digest it." Thanks for taking the time to read this lengthy response that I have ever made. Usually I can make it lengthy if it is something that I have experienced with a deep impression. Thank you very much for the BR, ssh. I appreciate it very much.
