"Consumers may be in danger of contracting "popcorn lung disease" from diacetyl fumes created while microwaving popcorn, says a pulmonary specialist from a leading lung research hospital." I saw something about this on the news today that the chemicals in buttery flavoring for popcorn can cause lung cancer. I guess there have been lawsuits concerning this in the past according to the full article that you can read at: http://www.butterflavoringlunginjury.com/ What do you think about this? It seems like so many times now we turn on the news and it is something else that we shouldn't be eating anymore because it could be harming us. I tell you from bad meat to infested vegetables roaming the country with so many recalls I don't know what to eat. Do you agree? Does this make you think a little more about the foods we are putting in our body or what exactly they have in them?

Copied topic, but I'll still give a response. I just file this one under health industry iron-curtain. I'll live as I want. It seems like everything nowadays is unhealthy and we should be eating it, doing it, whatever. Not only that, I don't even have popcorn enough times for this to matter, its very rare for me to have popcorn.

I looked this topic up on the discussions search on here and i did not find it, who did i copy it from? Because I try not to do that. I just heard about this today and thought people would want to know. It is not my mission to copy people's topic, but thanks for letting me know.

Just look under the interest category life and it should pop up. A thread similar to this one. I don't mind it that much anymore since the search feature isn't all that great -_-
