Don't you hate blisters?

I went to the mall yesterday with my roommate and by the time we got there, the heels of my feet were absolutely killing me. I was wearing a new pair of shoes (which I think I'm going to get rid of) and they pinched them so badly I have multiple blisters on the heel of each foot. I woke up this morning and they were all dry and cracked and caused me a lot of pain just to put pressure on my feet to get out of bed. Does anyone know how to relieve the pain of blisters? Should I be applying something to them?

This is the most irritating problem, i face very often.I like changing footwears but afraid of this problem.I never applied anything for this problem, it goes by itself in 2-3 days.

I do hate blisters too. More than painful, I consider them annoying! I've had some in my feet, specially when i used to do intense exercise. You should go to the nearest pharmacy/chemist and ask the pharmacist for a good remedy for them, they usually work.

soothe with milk.applying a cool milk compress to a blister within the 24 hours reduces the inflammation that's causing the pain. plus the protein may actually promote healing.

Ouch, ouch, ouch! I hate them too. I think how you treat them depends a lot on whether the skin has actually broken or not. If it has broken and the skin underneath is sore, then try putting some light, antiseptic cream or salve on it, I would recommend stuff like Savlon, or Conotrane, but I realise this may not be on sale where you are. If possible, I think they heal quicker if you let the air get to them to allow them to "breathe" rather than covering them. Good luck, and hope you get more comfortable soon.

You should NEVER wear a pair of shoes out until you have worn them in a little. You should always wear them for an hour here and there until they are broken in enough to wear out. There may be "hot" spots you didn't realize when you tried them on. I would do a foot soak and try somethign with a little pain relief in it. (like neosporin with pain relief)
