I was bidding on and won a Bratz doll for my daughter and the person did not take pay pal. So I sent out a money order and it has been about 2 weeks now. For some reason the person filed a non payment complaint against me. I'm responded and told them I sent the money order but they say they did not receive it yet. I know I sent the money order and it has not come back to me. I'm not sure if I should send another one (my hubby says no) or just hope they receive the one I already sent. She did tell me that she would wait and see if it comes. But think it should have been there by now. What should I do?

I dont know what you should do now because it was already sent. but for future incidents if you must pay by money order my husband always goes and gets the money order from the post office and he spends an extra couple bucks to get a tracking code. that way he can look online and see where the money order is. and if they have recieved it yet. you never know who is being honest and who isn't. my husband orders from ebay quite a bit and he does this same routine everytime it always seems to work.

Take your copy of the money order to where you bought it and have them put a trace on it...they'll find out where it went

Do you have a receipt? If you do just go back to the place you brought it then can do a tracer. I would say in the future do not buy from anyone who does not accept Paypal. I think its easier using Paypal. There are a lot of scams out there about money orders. I would not send any additional monies until I find out what happened to the initial money order.

I agree, I don't send money orders because it is so confusing and the seller can always say they didn't get it and I don't know what I would have to do to prove that they did receive the money and get the cash. I just use PayPal.

i agree with your husband.. dont send another one... it is good that you sent a money order that can be tracked. Go to where ever you purchased the money order from and have them check it to see if / when it was recieved and if/when it was cashed. As long as you still have your carbon copy/recipet.It was wrong of her to file a non paying bidder against you. she should have at least contacted you first so tht you could have had a chance to do this before hand. its not your fault that the money order isnt there. there mght have been a mixup at the post office or someting... but i would definatly check that out first.

Hi, I sell and buy regularly on ebay. I do take money orders but I hate to because they are a pain in the rear. I would definitly not send another money order, if you can than track it. But if not then you might be out of your money, but I wouldn't get to worried just yet cause as my husband calls it it's "Snail Mail". Chances are that she is legit cause she was so quick to file a non payment on you. But another good way to determine if someones trust worthy is checking out her feedback. I never buy anything that I can't use my paypal with, just cause it has the buyers protection. I've accually used it before and they did get my money back. And I always check to see what there feedback looks like. It sucks that people make something that can be fun and great for deals, and make ya worry about things like this. Hope everything works out.

I agree with the others, I would go to where you bought it and see if it has been cashed. In the future getting delivery confirmation is something I would do. I hope everything works out with it.

I’m not sure- I would not send another one- I have only sent a money order once- as how do you know if they are being truthful or not? I try to steer clear of auctions that won’t accept paypal- or at least checks- you can tell if a check has cleared- Did you keep a copy of the money order?? Isn’t there some way to track to see if the money order was cashed?

Did you save the stub from the money order. There should be a number that you can call to see if it has been cashed. If it has not been cashed it may be lost. If it has been cashed the money order company can possiblely help trace it. Good luck.

That is funny because I am on the opposite side of things right now =) I have been waiting for a money order and still haven't gotten it but don't want to file a complaint because she said she mailed it already. I don't think you should send another money order though, is there any way that you can track it and see if the money order has been cashed? I think the lady should wait and see if it arrives soon before filing a complaint, especially since you told her you mailed it. She could be trying to scam you out of more money so I would try to track the money order!! Good luck!!

I had so much trouble the first time I bid on something and the seller would only accept a money order, I've never done that again. I never received my item, and after being patient and waiting for weeks, I tried to contact the seller, who never replied. I started noticing many bad feedback remarks from other customers, so I figured something happened. I was able to get my money back as eventually the seller sent the money order back but with no explanation. I think you can go to where you bought the money order and have them check to see if it was cashed. It's possible it got lost. Things like that do happen.
