When do you decide its time to buy new shoes?

It depends on the shoes.
Nice, stylish, feminine shoes need to be replaced when they're no longer fixable.
As far as my Dunlop Volleys (sneakers) go, they're painted, tattered and torn, but they are the mosy comfortable things ever.
I only recently bought a new pair, but I still prefer to wear the old ones - I'll never throw them out =P

Oh yes!I prefer my oldies anytime!There covered in paint,grease,koolaid spots from my daughters drinking habits,grass stains,you name it.I wear them mostly all the time.Except in public!!Around the house.I cant wait to get home and slipp em on.Just need a nice wash in bleach thats all,but it took me awhile to get them to look like this.lol.Alot of hard work went into it.:)

I feel bad when i have to throw them out.I always find an excuse for them somehow just to keep me from throwing them out.lol:)

Me too, I still have shoes that are worn out already and I still keep them. I feel bad throwing them away because of the money that Ive spent on them.

I have always worn my sandals until it is torn. Lol. Even though I have more than one pair of shoes and sandals now, I like to wear my favorite ones only. When it is already torn or could not be repaired anymore, I will switch and use the other shoes or sandals that I own. I will wear them as long as they are comfortable on my feet. If I find that they are not comfortable, I will buy another pair of shoes.
Here in our country we celebrate the Aidh or Hari Raya Aidilfitri once a year. This is the time when everybody will shop around and buy new things for the celebration. On the first day or two, almost everybody wears new clothes and shoes. So even though I have good shoes, I will still buy a new pair just for the reason of celebrating Hari Raya. Lol. LOL--uh, nope my shoes does stink--hehe...but I do tend to wait until my shoes are about to fall apart...this summer I had a little extra money to burn and decided to do a real shoe shopping thing...so they all these sales for buy one get the second pair half price, so I bought four sandals types and two running shoes..I figure I'm set now for quite awhile....LOL

i decide to buy new shoes when I see a good one. I don't wear my shoes until they dall apart on me. I want to take good care of my shoes and put them in shoe boxes. I don't want to abuse my shoes because I love them whether it's cheap or expensive.
