do you display your medals, certificates, and trophies?

medals - A medal is a small metal object, usually engraved with insignia, that is awarded to a person for athletic, military, scientific, academic or some other kind of achievement. There also exist devotional medals, worn to indicate religious faith.

Medals have historically been given as prizes in various types of competitive activities, especially athletics.

Traditionally, medals are made of the following metals:

Gold (or another yellow metal, e.g. brass)
Silver (or another grey metal, e.g. steel)
Bronze

we display our trophies in the living room but we just keep the medals and certificates in the cabinet. our living room looks more like an office because there are a lot of things scattered everywhere. lol. so i think displaying the medals and certificates would only make our living room look worse. maybe if we have our own house i would decorate our house and display our medals and certificates in the living room. we only live in an apartment. my mom is a private tutor so her students just come and go that's why our house is so messy. =)

cool! my dad's a math highschool teacher and my mom is a private tutor. funny because they both graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical (my dad) and Civil (my mom) Engineering. i guess they found their passion in teaching. my mom is currently taking classes in Special Education.

We don't have a whole lot in our house as far as clutter, so I display all of my acheivements! Some say I am conceited, but I think I am just proud of my accomplishments!!

Hello! Your living room sounds like our living room before when me & my bro were still kids..*hehehe* my father likes putting all our trophies, medals and certificate in the living room. Some of our certificates are framed, laminated and hanged on the wall. He likes doing it, he said it's his pride and joy looking at all those proofs of achievements. It's kinda embarrassing for us because he would show it off to his friends whenever they visit our house, but we understood his intention and we're happy that my father is proud of us. My mother is different, she would keep those stuff in a safe place as much as possible, like in a cabinet. But now that we're grown ups, those trophies were long gone & destroyed, we still have the certificates and medals, the important ones. In our living room now, you'll find my father's and mother's trophies...*hahahaha* their work achievements... ciao! =)

I have medals from doing good in my class especially in my academics when I'm in elementary and highschool. Although I haven't got much medal in my highsool days caused I've been busy in other stuff and sad to say school is not my first priority on those days. How I wish to turn back time. But I know it is impossible so now I'm trying to do better in my work. Anyway so much for that sour graping. Like yours my family lives in a apartment and I never displayed my medals. I dont want to many knicks knack hanging on the wall. I placed my medal in my rom inside the cabinet.

wait till you see our living room. it's so full of books and other office supplies that you don't want to place medals in it because it will make the room more messy. lol =D
