Both my children are sleep in the bed with me. So far, everything is fine. I think it depend on you. If you think co-sleeping is good for you and your baby so why don't you do that. I always think as soon as they grow up there will be a time that they will sleep in their own bed. So i enjoy to sleep with them, so I can give full attention, hugs and kisses while I still can.

Don't you heed the warnings? Don't you know your children are much more likely to die of suffocation then if they are alone in a crib with a tight fitting sheet?

The only problem I have with that nyumix, is if the child is used to sleeping with mom and dad then how do you expect them to just all of a sudden be okay with sleeping alone. That's like trying to take away their favorite stuffed animal. Sleeping with a child makes them feel secure and like that is the ONLY way they can sleep. That is just my opinion anyhow.

I can honestly say that I have never had my daughter sleep in the same bad as me bonbon664. She is only 15 months yes, but she never will sleep in bed with me. The main reason I decided that is because the child will then get too dependant and HAVE to share a bed with someone! That and sometimes I am a very restless sleeper!

I had both my older kids in bed with me for yrs....We had a family bed from the night my daughter came home from the hospital (my son was 18mths at the time) until they were around 4 and 5 yrs old or so.....I even had my youngest sleep with me on occasion but that was a little more difficult due to his oxygen tank etc usually I'd sleep on the sofa and he'd sleep on my tummy since the tank was upstairs in the living room...

The only time I let my children sleep in bed with me is if they come in during the night and are scared. I then wait for them to fall asleep and carry them back to their own beds. I never start the night by having my children sleep with me. I agree with the article. It can be very dangerous to have children sleep in your bed, especially babies. I think it is important for children to get a good nights sleep and that isn't going to happen if they are croweded in bed with my husband and I.

No my children have their own bed, even though I'm a single mom now they used to sleep in their own bed. It is not I don't want them to be with me I just don't want them to be disturbed coz sometimes I can't sleep easily at night.
