My Daughter Lied To Me (part 2)

Okay this one was not so much a lie in actuality because nothing was damaged, destroyed, and or broken in this incidence. But at this time I had a large dining room table with I think 2 or 3 leafs to extend it for family gatherings etc. I would always find the leaves misplaced in different places then I recall placing them. At this time I knew my mind wasn't going due to old age yet. I always asked the kids and they would say that's where they last saw them. So now once again Sunday chatting with my daughter she reveals the truth of my misplaced/moved table leafs. Seems she loved the playfground a bit too much. Seems when we would leave the house she would grab a leaf or more. Prop the table leaf up on the couch. Then use a pillow and then slide down the table leaf as if it were a slide. Now that's hilarious. We all had a great time last night over these 2 little tales my daughter revealed. So what have your children revealed to you that was a funy yet wrong thing they did? I want to hear some of these stories as I had so much fun hearing my daughters. Thanks in advance also for your story. HAPPY POSTINGS FROMGRANDPA BOB !!~

Yeah, my kids want to tell me things like this, even though I don't want to hear it now. Seems when I went out of town one weekend with my husband they had a party at our house, when I came home I quesioned the ring on the carpet, it was faint, but I still noticed, seemed that is where the keg went, the thing about it was my neighbors knew and everybody knew except me, guess everyone knew how I would respond if I found out.

Parties. Ugggg. We came home one time and found the house tras]hed wioth 5 cops there. Seems the kids had a party and some teens got way out of line. Garbage was strewn all over. Our bedroom lock had been broken. No money or jewelry stolen. Stains all over the place etc. At least the kids were smart and called the cops. I think it was them. Maybe the neighbors. I didnt yell at them till a few days later. And only about irresponsibility not about the actions of the other teens. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My kids cleaned up the place the only rement that anything went on was that ring on my carpet, I got lame excuses, but the house was clean and there was nothing out of the ordinary so I never thought to ask about anything. I think my kids known what I would do if I was to walk in on a party, I was very strict with them growing up.

The bad part is we did clean up there was only so much we could do. I still dont know how the cops got there but I would have called soon because there were older kids there none of us knew.

How's about this? When I was about 10 or 11, I became a little bit of a pyromaniac. I never realy lit any big fires, but enjoyed setting a little blaze here and there. The three incidents I remember were: 1) I found a can of lighter fuel, they liquid type for zippo style lighters. We had a stainless steel sink/drainer and I used to squirt a little on the drainer and let it run into the sink then light the end and watch the flame chase the run. 2) I got hold of the camcorder and found a much more creative use of the lighter fuel. I'd set the camera up on the tripod looking at a ramp, then cover/fill matchbox cars with the liquid, pushing them down the ramp as i lit them to make home-made stunt movies. Thunderbirds; eat your heart out! 3) A few years later I had a box of matches and was burning them one-by-one in an ashtray on the arm of the sofa. I hadn't learned about the thermal properties of glass yet, so it was quite a surprise when the ashtray suddenly shattered sending chunks of hot glass to melt several spots on the carpet. Oddly, the sofa remained unharmed..... I'm no longer a pyro, by the way. I still enjoy a nice little garden fire occasionally, but I'm very safety conscious. I guess it was a 'phase'!!!
