We use to celebrate Teacher's day in School in 5th Sep. We all students decorated our class, choose good gifts for all our teachers, invite all of them to visit our class and also we do some arrangement of snacks. We have some friends who were good in art, they made some good drawings in board and some of paper cutting. Really enjoyed the day. Teachers also go friendly on that day. That I liked. Have you celebrated teacher's day in your student life?

I had always celebrated Teacher's Day until I graduated from High School:D That special day (October 14th in my country) all class would buy flowers for our teachers and instead of normal lessons we had some games and artistic shows on the gym:) That is a very peasant day that helps teachers and students to know eachother better as we don't do the usuall things.

Our kids didn't even have school last week they actually just started today...because of the construction of building on to the school they delayed it for a week, Which was ok I guess it just gave them another week of freedom before school started in session today.. My son had a great day which was nice.. I remember last year his first day it was pretty rough for him... So they didn't celebrate teachers day..

In Romania there is no such thing as a "Teacher's Day", so I haven't celebrated it.

No, I do not think that they do that anywhere in America, but I could be wrong. This is an excellent idea, however. Teachers deserve at least one day of the year to be set aside just for them. They are not nearly appreciated enough. When I was little, my mother would give my sisters and I an apple to take to the teacher. Now that I am older, I think that this is one of the sweetest things in the world. It is a very simple gesture, but can make a world of difference. If that teacher loss or forgot her lunch, she would always have at least an apple to hold her through class. Actually, I do not know where that tradition started, but I love it.

When I was a student, we didn't have Teachers' Day. We only started to have Teachers' Day in China since 1985. Till now it has been 22 years since we had this special day for teachers. It is dated on the 10th of September ever year. Yesterday all of the teachers in my school were organized to have a tour to one of the beautiful scenic spots in the local area, but I didn't go because I have been there twice. It is a wonderful place. I celebrated this special day on mylot with my friends and started a discussion about Teachers' Day. Now I am happy that I have got 21 responses for that. My friends are so nice. Anyway thanks for your topic. Have a good day, ibsnet.
