There really shopuld be an edit feature to fix all sorts of mistakes on here. Whether it's a forgotten picture or a big typo, it'd be great to go back and fox it.Another forum I used to use had an editfeature. Each edited post would say at the bottom somethhing like "last edited at 1:23 am, edited 2 times in total" and most users would also type in themselves at the bottom of their posts "eta (edited to add) and the reason they needed to edit" That was to protect them and the responders from arguments over if the post got changed or how it got changed...and on that forum things like did happen...a person would post something that was a lie, a responder would call them out on it and then they'd edit the post to try to make the responder look bad, but with the edit feature in place the way it was it got harder to do things like that because it was obvious the post got changed after the lie was brought out into the open AND on that forum we had a "quote" feature so a direct quote could be taken from any post and tagged onto another one so in situations like 5hat the responder would quote the original post and everyone could see if and how the original poster changed it.

I think an edit feature for just the opriginal poster would be a super idea. I have written mylot administration with a lot of ideas on how to improve the site and make it's members happier. This was one suggestion. But they have yet to add it. Maybe someday soon we'll have another major overhaul like a few months back. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I can see how that would happen. It does get frustrating not to be able to fix something..I have used other sites that I am able to fix my errors and even go back and edit once I am through...That makes it nice..

I wish we could edit our discussions after we have posted them. Maybe it is done to deter people from changing what they said after comments have been made. But, even so, we should be able to add or edit. Maybe MyLot staff could approve the change first and then allow it to be posted with the changes.

I agree. I would worry about others trying to edit the original post of someone else but that could be fixed if the edit was just for the poster and only to correct the post, not the responses..

I do that ever so often. What I do is request through contacting mylot that it be deleted and I start a new one with the pic added. Explain why you are requesting this though.I send the link to the discussion without the photo to them in the contact letter. I've done that a few times. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have done that before but then when the very first response is received. I post it with the comment and an explanation of what happened.

I think you can do it this way;- Don't write the discussion first and then post a picture. First post a picture and then start writing whatever you want. That way, i feel, you won't have a chore of reminding yourself throughout that you should add an image. Whenever you think of starting a discussion, the first thing that should come to your mind is images, its just a habit thingy, comes with a little practice. Try, you'll do fine.

I think they should make that option not to mention going back and fixing errors.. I always for get to make my I's big.. Worse habit for me.. I tend to though go threw before posting but sometimes I for get one or two..lol But pictures I hardly ever post on with anything so that really don't matter much to me!

You can actually had it later on when you respond to one of your reponders. I have done it many times and it works out pretty good. But, I do prefer to have it right underneath my topic.

Yeah same here also, as i always tend to upload a photo relating on my own posted discussion. But whenever i forgot to upload a photo with my discussion, i feel sorry for myself. And knowing that i cannot edit it and then it really makes me feel down. But anyway, im still positive in some ways so, what i am doing is that, i will response to the response that i get in my own discussion and upload there my supposed to be photo of my discussion. That's what im doing here in mylot, have you noticed? Mylot really affects our lives in some ways? hehe Have a nice day ahead from Kiko and happy posting and earning here in Mylot. Godspeed.

Hello! I used to upload pictures with my discussions before, but then due to my internet connection, I had to stod doing it. Now I have a high speed broadband, but I forgot to upload pictures with the discussions I start (I have not crossed 500, so can upload pictures with discussions started by me only). Actually I realized it right now while responding to your discussion that am forgetting to upload pictures with my discussions. From tomorrow am going to remember it. vani^_^

YES! you're absolutely right! I do experience that most of the time, I hit the button post and then I remember I wanted to post a picture, but I can't edit my post. I hope the admin of mylot will do something about this. Thank you for bringing this up.

Hello Feona1962, It is a good idea to be able to edit our own discussion/response after we think that we are done with it. Unfortunately till now, My Lot has not decide to add that feature for us *sad* I seldom add an image to my discussion but it would be lovely to have one and be able to add in whenever you forget to do so.
