Do you think some people just respond to your topic, just to get it deleted?

I know this is true. Some like to answer with a response that has nothing to do with the topic and start off by swearing.Thats what they did yesterday and guess what im lower today because of it.I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!Because i have a copy of your response.

Yes I can believe that but I have not come across that yet I suggest you report it when it happens so that Admin can get it sorted before your Discussion gets deleted

I normally avoid respnding to topics which are bound to be deleted on many groups such as abusive, not in tally with mylot rules and regulations. I do not post such topics and hence I have no problem and people who participate in my topic are also assured that my topic will not get deleted from mylot.

Well it was in a discussion i started,"does your cat eat,well....kitty pooo?"That was it.Everyone answered it and then she did and it wasnt even a response to my topic at all.It was about her dog eating cats. The swearing words was awfull in it.I reported it and then it got deleted and my star wen tdown and i lost some points yesterday.I posted well, nice normal discussion topics and answered to some of others very politely.Do you know what would cause this?I never respond to a discussion that i know will get deleted.Never.:)

No you never lost a point. You were not deleted. It was only the bar that she responded in,that got deleted.Check the discussion out,its still there.Except for hers.Because it was me that reported her and i lost a point or so,then my star went down.

it is difficult to find out (unless mylot tells) as to what exactly happened and all you people are doing is guess work which is a futile exercise. I am really unable to figure out the genuine reason.

Hi peanutjar! I honestly think people can respond for many reasons! The person you are talking about may have responded to be mean, or to try and make some quick cash! I hate how people can do things like that and be mean. If I were you I'd report their response if they were swearing, that's not fair, it's abusive, and it goes against mylot guidelines!

I had that happen on one of my discussions recently. I reported the person to mylot and asked them to read this persons responses and please don't delete my otherwise good discussion. Guess what? they deleted him and my discussion still remains. he was the only one causing trouble and everyone else was responding respectfully but I could see that he was irritating people and deliberatly.

Wow, I'm new here but I never thought of something like that happening. So far I've kept pretty moderate but that will certainly keep me from getting too opinionated where I might upset someone. How terrible.
