I was getting ready for work. I was watching GMA (Good Morning America) and saw the live coverage of the planes hitting the trade center. At first I thought it was an accident. When I got to work all the TV's were on and we didn't get any work done because we were all watching TV in shock. They actually closed my center early because we were located between PA and DC where the other planes hit. I didn't think it was a safety risk to us but hey I'll take a free day any time.

I was at work at Dollar General. I was a manager at the time and always went to work early to prepare for the day. I was in the stock room and thought that I heard something on the radio about the Pentagon being hit by a plane, but thought that is impossible. A few minutes later one of my employees came to work and I asked if she had heard anything and she said no. We started talking about the plans for the day when we suddenly heard a news break that said "Both WTC towers have been struck by airplanes and we are not sure if there are more attacks planned or not". It was a scary feeling and I remember calling my in-laws, my children, and my husband. I went home to get my cell phone and saw the first tower collapse. I set and cried but knew that I had to go back to work and somehow manage through the day. We asked for updates from everyone and we kept a close ear on the radio. What a sad day in history and yet we learned so much from it! We all need to get back into the spirit that we had then for our country and our freedom!!

I was 5000 miles away but I watched the incident. I was viewing BBC and CNN then suddenly I saw a footage "Breaking News" and the picture again and again. I understood this is subotage and was very sad indeed.

I am in Canada, but I was watching Regis and Kelly on TV when they broke away to show the first tower. They went back to Regis and Kelly and then broke away again for good. I watched in shock for awhile and then called my Dad to tell him about it. He had heard nothing about it because he didn't have the television on that time of day, and probably not the radio either. I just remember calling him, crying, and saying "The U.S. is being attacked!"
