What's the color of your eyes?

Eye color is polygenic trait and is determined primarily by the amount and type of pigments present in the eye's iris. Eye color is an inherited trait influence by more than one gene. The different eye colors are brown, hazel, green, blue, gray, amber and even violet. What i have is dark brown sometimes it becomes lighter if there's a bright light. My husband has green eyes and sometimes it turns bluish. Here in US i've seen a lot of people with different eye colors but in the country i came from we only have brown eyes except if you wear contact lenses. I like blue eyes the most, i think it's pretty and i like looking through it cause i don't have one. (hehehe) then, next one i like is green like my husband's eyes cause it's soothing and cool to look at. Hazel is a good eye color also. The usual eye color is brown and that's what i have. My eyes are blue but if I get sick they turn gray. My husbands eyes are brown, my mom's eyes are green and my dads eyes are brown. I love my eye color. My husband thinks it would be cool to have purple contact lenses. It would be different but I think I would like them like that. :)

Well, the color of my eyes is Dark Brown and i am happy with it.
But ofcourse, i am dreaming of having a hazel eyes but my brown eyes are good and i am happy with it though.

I like unusual colour eyes like green or grey but really I've seen beautiful shades in all colours.

My eyes are dark brown but I have a weakness for unusual colors. I like blue most I think but colours different from mine I love. AAlthough if I like the person the colour of his eyes do not matter I would enjoy looking into them no matter what colour they are.

that's actually dark brown eyes edigital, it just look like black cause it's dark. look closely to your eyes in the mirror and you will notice that it is dark brown. i use to think that mine was black too when i was a little kid, but i realized it was dark brown by looking closely to it in the mirror with light. :)

My eyes are green like your husbands. My Mother was from Russia, and evidently it is quite a usual colour there. I am told sometimes when I am sad or have been crying they turn more grey, and when I'm angry they turn even greener than normal - LOL! My partner's eyes are very blue. He comes from Argentina, and most people think that South America's have brown eyes, but there are actually many German and Italian people in Argentina, and that's where he got his blue eyes.

yes that happens, my husbands eyes changes too from dark to light green sometimes it turns bluish with a little yellow, he said it depends on what he's feeling. It so nice to hear what you just said about your eyes. when you get angry as long as it don't turn RED i won't get scared. hehehe.. God bless you rosie! :)

My eyes are green with a tint of brown but very seldom can you see the green...I love the color of my eyes and I love people with green eyes...

i was thinking it to be black until i read your comments.then i realized that no its actually dark brown,he usual asian types.but how strange we don't know the fact.anyways i love my eyecolor especially because its complements my complexion.and everybody says that my eyes are my best feature.so i can't deny that i don't love them.
but then i like the eyes which are green like your husband's.one of my friend has this eyecolor and i keep on saying her to exchange her eyes with me. hehehe...:) LOL!!
besides i also like blue eyes.i think they are just mesmerizing and impeccable.

I have blue eyes. Eye color is genetic, so I was amused one day by this incident.
Our family was at a restaurant and the waitress commented on my daugther's pretty blue eyes, then she looked at my son and said "Oh, you have blue eyes too." Then she look at my husband and myself and was amazed that we also have blue eyes. She said, "You all have blue eyes!"
It takes 2 blue genes to make blue eyes. So I have 2 genes for blue eyes and so does my husband. Our children can only have blue eyes (or some variation of blue).

I wish I knew XD I always liked green eyes, because I loved Disney's Little Marmaid and in the book I got on my birthday she had green eyes. Now, my mother says I have blue eyes so i was ok with that xD Untill I went to the high school and my friend told me their color is green (O.O). So I decided to ask my brother, and he replied "grey" xD I was so confused. At the end I have blue in my ID card, but still different people see different colors in my eyes. Oh, and when someone has bad camera my eyes are super red xD

I have brown eyes. My boyfriend says they are one of my best features and that they are big and shaped like deers eyes. He loves them! He has blue eyes which sometimes go green and when he's tired or poorly they are a bit grey. When he's happiest they generally go a bright blue colour which i like best.
My favourite eye colour is bright green because it's unusual and you don't see many people with eyes that colour.

we have the same color of eyes. A lot of people like my eyes also. sometimes someone would say its small then other's will say it gets big and round, hehehe.. it's really amazing, how different people see it but at least they like it. yeah, my husbands eyes change to different shade of green and sometimes blue it jst depends on his mood or what he feels for that day. it's pretty nice!

My eye color is light brown, but I have the potential for green and blue eyes in my genes. My mother has blue eyes and my father had light brown.

My eye color is dark brown as yours. I am satisfied with my color but i have an attraction towards blue and green eyes. There is a common misconception that some people have black eyes. This is not true. The color you think black is really not black. It is dark brown too. If you observe carefully, you can find it out. My dad has a color which is a mix of blue and brown. I like that color too.
