I picked my first borns name because it's his fathers name, and even though I hated the name I still did it cause he wanted a junior. I named my daughter Gabriela because I liked it and my husband said he didn't care as long as it was Spainish cause he is. Her middle name is Naomi after his Grandma. My last son was named after Peyton Manning from the COLTS BABY!!!!! Yup his first name is peyton, and middle Manning!!! I actually liked the name peyton, my husband hated it, he said it was to girly. I said peyton manning has that name, which by the way we both LOVE THE COLTS! He said noboy would know that he was named after peyton, I said we could give him Manning for the middle name. And VIOLA!!!

As we knew what we were having I told my husband to write 5 names down that he liked and I did the same the only name that we both liked was Viktor. But I had a different name in plan. When my son was born I tried the other name and it simply didnt feel right like the name didnt somehow match the baby. So when my husband came to pick us up from hospital he goes have you decided on a name and I told him no and he goes Christina (his cousins daughter) started calling him baby Viktor (no one knew of the names we liked) its like the baby comunicated the name to her. So we said Viktor it is.

When I got pregnant with my son, my husband and I decided that I would pick the name if it was a boy, and he would pick the name if it was a girl. Of course, we wouldn't name our child a name the other one hated, though. I wanted a name that wasn't common, but that wouldn't be hard for people to pronounce. I decided on Elliott. We decided together that since it wasn't all that common, we would give him a much more common middle name, in case he decides later that he doesn't like Elliott. Michael was the name we liked best with it, plus it gives him multiple possibilities if he decides to use it. So when he was born, we already knew he would be Elliott Michael. I had a dream the week before he was born, that the baby came and I named him Evan Douglas, but when my son arrived, Elliott Michael fit him so much better.

My daughter's first name was chosen by my late husband, and I'm glad now, as it's a nice tribute to him. We were looking at the baby name books, but then he came up with her name on his own, and I liked it too. Her middle name is the same as my middle name.

I named my son Sebastian because I have always loved that name. When I was younger (late teens, mid 20s) I had decided that I would never have children, so I named my cat Sebastian. I figured that was as close as I was ever going to get to having a child. Boy was I wrong. When I got pregnant, I told my husband that my favorite name was Sebastian, but I had already used it in my past on my cat. We went through so many baby name books. We even considered names like Voltaire, Moliere, Wolfgang, etc. Finally, I told my hubby that I didn't care if people knew that I had once had a cat named Sebastian. So, we gave my son the first name of Sebastian. His middle name is my father's name. I did that because my father always wanted a son to carry on his name, so we used my father's name for the middle name and we hypenated our last name. My father still jokes to people who knew the cat, that he came 2nd to the cat in naming my son.

i don't have my own child right now... but I would like to share where did my late dad got my name. According to my mom I was supposed to be named as Caroline but my dad refuse. While walking he saw a car's billboard which says "Catherine" and when my mom gave birth to me the name Catherine was given to me. Funny because my name was came from a car's billboard... but if I'm going to have my own children in the near future I will named them after the name of saints.

My oldest daughter hates her name because she is named after a Beach Boys song...Help Me Rhonda...lol....my second daughter is named after her dad's sister which is also my mom's middle name and her middle name is my mom's first name and also her dad's mothers name...confuse you yet? By the way her name is Nancy Rose. My son, well since my husbands name was John and so was his dad and my dad I definitely didn't want another one in the family so I just picked his name out of thin air...I named him Jeffrey.

Though I don't have a kid, I have plenty of sources to draw from. Yes some of it includes anime and gaming, but I will not do something stupid naming my kid. I've even got plenty of custom ones I'm considering and even helped out another mylotter with her naming of a kid http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1269825.aspx There's the thread in case anyone is interested

We named our 1st daughter Sierra because my husband loved that name. Her middle name is after my best friend that passed away. We named my 2nd daughter Dezirae because we heard the name a lot when I was pregnant and liked it. It means Long awaited for and we had been trying for two years to get pregnant. So it just kind of fit.

I named My first born Elizabeth Anne because that is what the Lord told me to name her. It means Gods gracious Gift. My husband and I got married in 1987 and took us three years and two miscarriages to have her. Then Jacklynne Louise after my Dad, Jack and my middle name Lynne and then my Aunt, Louise and my Grandmother Louisa. And then my Son, Melvin Willard he is the 3rd. My Father in law and husband both have that name. We call my son Will so that there won't be any confusion.

My children's names are Chandler, Griffen, Justice and Millanah. I did most of the name choosing. None of them are named after anyone except Millanah whose middle name is Devin. Devin is my husband's best friends name. I wanted Aubrielle, but since I chose the first name I let him pick. We both (my ex and I, then my current husband and I) agreed on all of the kids names though.

OUr daughter was very hard i wanted to name her richaleana , it was a name i made up as a joke with my father in law. The more i thought of it the more i liked it. So much i wasked the nursed bout it after i had her, but i went with Keri ann . Olny my mother in law and i had like richaleana and i was affraid she be picked on. Now i think back and Keri ann fit her but in some ways i wish i named her the other or had another daughterthat. My husband and i have been through a lot so i think that be cool. That is including haveing to bury or daughter at age 7 and almost losing one of her brothers 2 years to the day of burying her. That is n ot all of it .

My son Jeremiah Ryan I just liked the name. My daughter Lily Grace was named in part after her late great grandma. Her name was Lillie, but I changed the spelling, and Grace just sounded good with it. Now my sister makes fun of me cause I have a Jeremiah(as in Jeremiah was a bullfrog) a Lily(as in a Lily pad for a frog).
