Spraying my Bed

Hey everyone yep it is me Gissi again
I have a problem and yes the Problem is Mum, how did you guess
Well the Problem is, every Morning Mum sprays my Bed with something called Febreeze, she also sprays all the Carpets and Rugs with it every other Day, well that is fine but myBed? Mum says it is to keep it fresh, well my Bed is fresh it has my Scent in it but when Mum sprays this Stuff then it doesn't it smells like Lavender so every Night I have to roll in it including my Blanket and cushions to put my Scent back in it. Now I know Mum has this thing about Air fresheners, burning Oils, spraying her Carpets but surely she does not have to do it to my Bed every Day
The other thing is once a week she will pinch my Blanket (whether I am in bed or not) and wash it now I always smell nice because of my Patchouli Oil, Mum is insistent that I have a Bath every 3 Months (which I hate) and she uses Baby Shampoo and then she will use Conditioner so my Fur is always nice and soft, she brushes me every Day to, so why does she have to spray my Bed every Day and then she sprays Air freshener into the Bed room to Mum stands at the door when she does that as it makes her cough badly, but I don't I stay laid where I am, so of course when this stuff comes from the Air to the ground it lands on me, well it makes me sneeze and then I smell Girlish to so why does my bed have to be sprayed every Day when I have all these Smells I just do not understand it
This Morning I tried the bit of staying in my bed, well before I knew this Noosle was coming my way and it looked like it was going to get me, well I dived out of my Bed and barked at Mum, she just stood there laughing and said "Well Gissi it is late and it has to be done" Yeah right a Dog can't even have a lie in anymore. It's a hard Life it really is.

Now I know what is meant by "Its a dogs life". You must smell like a tarts handbag Gissi. Does your mum not realise this could ruin your reputation with the ladies, no female likes a male smelling better than themselves.
My advice is to go down the shops, buy a blanket that is exactly the same as the one you have and when your mum comes in to spray quickly swap them over so she is always spraying that one. Then when she leaves swap them back again. This will lull her into a false sense of security!!LOL
I can't really feel sorry for you over the bath thing though. You are lucky you only have to bath once every 3 months..if I did this I would need more than air freshners and Fabreeze to hide the smell and no male would ever come near me.
Sometimes we have to take the rough with the smooth!!

Hey Allsorts that is a good idea I never thought of that
I do not know why Mum still sprays the Air freshener when I am still lying there in the Bedroom why should I move
And it is definatly a Girly Smell and it yuk to me as I am a boy
But I will do the blanket thing thanks

Sometimes you just have to do what mom says, or deal with what mom does. She only does it because she loves you and wants to give you the best home possible.

LOL Hey Gissi first of all you made me laugh so hard and I needed that so bad. And you did it!LOL I know your mom likes all that smelly stuff I do too. Thats because we are girls.LOL And if some of it lands on you I bet the girls will love you!.So sweetie try not to bark at your mom.LOL And Aunt Terry loves you.

I am so glad that I managed to make you laugh as Mum has been a bit sad because she has not seen you or heard from you

This is Grandpa Bob's beagle Buster. He sparys that Febreeze on my bed as well as the couches, chairs, and carpet. He even sprays it on the dinign room seat covers. But that's okay. He even puts sheets on the coushes and chairs because he says my fur gets all over it and it's to hard to vacuumn everyday. I like the smell that Febreeze leaves behind. Everytime I come sit on Bobs lap he says how nice I smell and that I don't stink like a normal dog. But I need him to learn to take the filler from my bed and wash the cover as it really stinks like a dog. Bye Gissi and be nice to mommy she loves ya.

Well it does smell nice as Mum sprays it on the Carpet and that to but don't you find it smells Girlish
I mea I love my Patchouli Oil now that smells like Man not all the Flowery Stuff Mum uses
I guess it does always smell nice in the House but it is so girlish
I know Mum loves me and I love her to but oh she sometimes is hard work

Well Giss here's the story. I don;'t care if it does smell girlish as I am not around other dogs. I have no interest in other dogs other than to sniff their butts and greet them. I may bark but then I am done with them. Maybe this is why because of the girlish smell? Hmmm?

Oh my Gissi, - we really can't have that! A big strong boy like you smelling girlish - well whatever next! She'll be making you wear a pink ribbon! I wouldn't stand for it if I were you. My Mum likes that horrid Air Freshener stuff too - lavendar and some other nasty scent called "Summer Bouquet"! Well what is wrong with Lily bouquet I ask myself? Or of course Gissi bouquet in your case! As for getting you out of your bed - disgraceful - I wouldn'r be having that at all! You stand your ground my friend - or else the humans will think they've won!

That Summer Bouquet is the Air Freshener that Mum uses to yuk
I wish they would bring some out in our Sweet Lily but well I don't know
Do you have to have a Bath to every 3 Months?
As for the Bed well I am trying but I don't want to be sprayed

Oh they did that to me last year and something else to because I suffer with swollen Anal Glance and they put a Mussle on me as Mum knows I would have bitten to but I hate them Mussles
I really do not know why they have to do all this I am just glad that Mum now knows how to control it including my Skin Condition
I hope you are ok though and that it went well
If we ever meet we will have to talk about all this and see what we can do about our Mum's you know

Oh no - cats don't have baths!!!!! What a horrific thought! But they did take me back to that horrid Hospital for a check-up today, and that was bad enough:-(( Like I ever want to see that horrid place and those nasty people again! The nurses said they were pleased to see me - but I wasn't spleased to see them I can tell you......... after all last time I saw them they put a thermometer in a very delicate place (blush!). So when they tried to pick me up I bit and scratched them - and Mummy told me off. You just can't win with these Mums can you? Oh and I hissed and growled at the Vet - nasty man - ugh!!!

Oh poor Gissi. Your mum just wants the house to smell nice. You would really hate being my dog Maddy. She gets a bath twice a month !! SHe is very big and hairy, so we have to brush her at least once a week and bathe her frequently so her hair doesn't get all matted up. She sheds enough hair in one day to probably give you a nice winter coat..lol. I guess you're just going to have to live with your bed being sprayed, I mean your mum is the boss after all !!

welll Gissi I jus dont know whatto tel ya but that is a human thing have to keep everything smeeling freas een if it is your bedding you are going to have to live with it lol I do the same myself but hen My dawgs sleep right on the floor and Fang would say ya got it made for his bones hurt but if I put anything down to sllep ion he wouldnt do it.

Life can be really hard sometimes Gissi and it seems you have it really tough sometimes....NOT! LOL you are such a funny fellow....do you think we believe you with your complaining?? Well, I don't believe you. I think you know how lucky you are and how Mum spoils you to make everything nice for the both of you. I've never known a doggy to be loved as much as your Mum loves you. The two of you make such a wonderful team the likes of which has never been seen before...you're both a couple of very loveable characters. I know your'e laughing as you create some mischief...let mum get some of her own back....lol.

aaww gissi so you dont like your bed being sprayed? its nice for mum to spray it for you as febreeze does smell really nice and it will keep your bed as fresh as you little man he he. i know you like the smell of lavender so at least you can have a good old roll when you get in bed as i bet you enjoy that lol

hey gissi,
i'm writing this as a human counterpart because i don't have any four legged friends living with me at this time. you are so lucky to have a mum who cares so much for you. i know the human nose works so differently than your own and i'm so sorry, we really need to remember to be more sensitive to that fact.
now i am a bit of a more naturalist type of human and don't like any chemical sprays which i'm sure you agree with me. maybe your mum can make a spray combined with water and a nice smelling essential oil (which comes directly from the plant it smells like). this may be more to the liking of your nose, and the human nose...just a suggestion for you to pass on to your mum. good luck.

Well sweety lets be honest - when was the last time you let Mum have a lie in? I know she is normally up very early but on the very rare occassion she is up trying to stay in bed asleep you always shout and wake her up - so for once sweety I don't blame her for waking you up! As for spraying well Mum likes everything to smell nice and fresh and clean - surely you can't be upset with her for that! xxx

Actually Mum has been very Lazy the last 2 Mornings and I am really disgusted with her she did not get up till 8am when I barked she said in these exact Words to me "Gissi if you do not shut up I will put you in the other Bedroom" and then she turned over and went back to sleep I mean how bad is that
I guess I did not want to be in the spare Room so I went back to my Bed which of course got sprayed when Mum got dressed and started to clean again

Aww..poor Gissi...Hey, it's us Pyewacket and Kissy..aren't mums weird? Oh, well, we don't suffer the same trauma as you do, but then maybe because you're a doggie and we're cats. I think we'd both faint if our mum every decided to give us a bath..I mean why? We're nice and clean and we never go outdoors so we don't get outdoor smells on us the way maybe you do and that is why your mum uses that Febreeze stuff. Our mum though will clean out ours ears every once in awhile..oh, how we hate that! She says she does it so we don't get those nasty ear mites, but we still hate ear-cleaning day. Our mum likes to burn incense...not bad...hey she often burns Patchouli incense and we love that too!! Isn't it funny how we both like that? She also burns Sandlewood, and Strawberry, Vanilla, Cinammon...sure wish they had catnip incense!!
Oops, mum is coming back from washing the dishes..so we better be off...tootles.

Hey you 2 yes Mum's are certainly weired you are very lucky that you do not have to have Baths it is awful because after the Bath Mum wraps me a towel like a Baby but I do enjoy shaking myself when Mum puts me down and then she gets wet to lol
Its even better when I do it in the Bath just after Mum has rinsed me of lol

Now gissi, Im sure mum doesnt mean you any harm. She just likes everything smelli ng nice and fresh. She might think you like it, too. It also helps keep any germs away, cause she wouldnt like you to get sick. But, just between you and me, maybe every now and then you could go hide the can. Make it go missing for a while, to give you a little break. Then put it back when she's not looking.

Gissi your mum loves tyhe way you smell thats all there is to it , she loves the way you smell even more when she sprays your bed ...
Perfumes are hard to breath everyone knows that but if it makes mum happy than your khappy .
So it may smell to you for a minute but to mum it smell nice all day every day don`t you think ???
would you rather hav a bath every day or every three months ???
Just think if she didn`t spray your bed she`d be bathing you , so what do you think is better spraying your bed or bathing you ???
Bear with it so mum will be happy and you won`t be bathed everyday ...
Just remember Mum does it out of love and that will probably never change ...
Be a good doggie and have a good sleep in your nice clean bed ...

Hey, Gissi, Hugs. Mum is using the aerosol type of spray which dispenses a misty spray to irritate both your noses. Arrrgh, nasal hypersensitivity. Bash, bash, bash. Ask Mum to take a look at the link. She might like to change the spray to a non-aerosol spray. Mum will have to mix the solution herself. XXXXX.

Aaaah poor Gissi, do you want me to sweet talk your mum into letting you have an extra hour's kip in the morning? I mean us animals have to stick together right? And you know your wolfie needs his sleep too and values his lie in and the last thing he wants is a nozzle coming towards him! The cheek of it eh! Never mind Gissi wolfie understands ;0)
