socks because my sister in law steals his socks for her son. I'm not sure if this is done intentionally or not but they wear the same size and I thought it was just an honest mistake because she lives with my mother in law and my kids sleep there a lot and I figured my mother in law throws their clothes in the wash and the socks get confused. So after buying new socks every month for him I started putting "G" on the bottom which stand for his name "Gerard". I never told them why I did that I assumed they would think it was not to get my lil guy's confused with my older son's. But now it's been on like 4 occassions my nephew takes off his shoes - and there's the "G" right on the bottom. Once she tried to give me socks that weren't our's and I said no, our's have "G" on the bottom and she said yeah Chris (who is her son) has a stack of "G" socks in his drawer. But why? If there are not his - give them back. I know it sounds petty but why am I the one buying socks every month? Why wouldn't they just put them in a pile and give them back. I want to ask for them back but does that sound really stupid like can I have Gerard's socks back?

I think it's rude and irresponsible of her to be keeping those socks. That's just teaching her kids that it's ok to take someone else's things. It doesn't matter if it's just a bunch of socks...it's the principle of it...plus, every cent counts...and I'm sure it all ends up to quite a bit if you have to buy new socks all the time. I think you should definitely ask her back for the socks. They belong to your son..not hers. I hope you get them back.

I'm glad someone else agrees with me - my friend thinks I'm crazy when I go on and on about the socks...believe me, I'm trying everything to make some extra money and I don't want to keep buying socks with this money I earn! They can't take my older one's because his are too big and obviously my daughter's are pink/purple hanes but no matter what name it be (hanes, target brand, etc.) they take them. I honestly thought at first they didn't realize it but now I know better...thanks for the support!!
