Do emotions, aesthetics, the identity of the creator, her or his intent, politics, myths, symbolism, beauty, significance, ideals, religion, The Eye Of The Beholder, etc., figure into that determination? What human needs and desires are met by Art? Has the Internet, computer programs, Outsider Art, craft shows, etc., put us in danger of drowning in a sea of Crap?

Art is individual and each of us has a perceptin of what good is. If Leonardo Da Vinci or Michalengelo had the resourses we have today who knows what they could produce? My mother was an artist. She liked to paint still-life paintings and other things. I am not sure about an elepant's qualifications of painting. I have even seen "artists" throw paint at a canvas and call it art. There are some very good computer aided artwork. Look at the difference between the cartoons of the 50's and the stuff today. I guess it is all our choice.

I believe art is what comes from the heart! Art is something that comes from the deepest of feelings in a human being. Well you hear people saying that some one stole my idea, some one copied my writings or paintings, etc. When some idea is copied or stolen it is no art at the all. Art is that which comes from the heart!
