When I moved in my apt that I live in now, I didn't have a toaster for about 2 months. It's easy. You have an oven? You turn on the oven, put a pan in the oven with your bread that you want toasted. leave it in for a bit. and Voila! Toast! Also... you can put it in a frying pan and toast it that way. There's simple ways around it so that's how I dealt with it. A toaster isn't a crucial kitchen utility for me.

well trust me. When I first moved in I thought.. "oh no what am I going to do without a toaster!" and then I used my brain and figured it out. I had some time to think on it. So now you'll know :)

No way to get mad in this situation. Once I had faced such situation when I try to toast some bread. In alternate way, I took a sauce-pan and did the rest. It should be remembered that every problem has alternative solution. Thanks.

Toaster - Toaster and toast
I thought I'd be smart and butter my bread before putting it in the toaster... the toaster (or rather the bread in the toaster) caught on fire and scorched the wall of my kitchen... I learned not to do stupid stuff like that again!

That sounds dangerous. I had a situation with my toaster yesterday funnily enough. My son wanted waffles and it said on the packet that you could put them in the toaster on the hottest setting and once they popped up you could put them back in again if they still needed more cooking. I had made them the day before like this with no problems but this time as soon as I pressed the lever down the second time all the electicity in the house went off. My computer, my sons xbox, the fridge, everything, luckily we have a trip system in our electic box so I soon had everything back on but I was suprised that that happened. All it was was the toaster got too hot, it didn't even blow a fuse and it works ok today, maybe your toaster had the wrong kind of fuse in it as surely that should have blown first? Also, yes I would have been cross if it had blown up.

One day about a month ago my toaster stopped working as did my toaster oven and microwave. Was I mad? You bet your life I was. Everything seemed to die all at once.
