We want to work and probably migrate to another country. Any suggestions?

My wife and I are thinking of finally settling to another country to work and probably migrate to live there as well. We have options like Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US and others because these are the most publicised or most announced countries that offer work and migration. We have had various readings about these countries and more or less have the grasp of what's in store for each country. So I am posting this topic hopefully to get some feedbacks from fellow members of myLot on which do you think is the best or better country to work and live with. All your feedbacks will be noted and greatly appreciated. By the way, I am from the Philippines. My line of work is related to Information Technology, a graduate of Computer Management course while my wife is a Psychology graduate. Thanks in advance.

Australia is a wonderful country to migrate to. It is such a large country and it has a very beautiful landscape from the coast to the outback. Adelaide is a charming city with many parks and gardens. Perth is another city that is really lovely. Melbourne is a popular city with great culture. Sydney with its stunning harbor is my favorite city. Brisbane and Cairns are in Queensland and they have the sort of hot weather you are used to. One of my friends is moving to Australia for four years. Her husband has got a job in Perth. She hopes to find work in nursing. New Zealand would be another superb choice. It has a wonderful outdoor lifestyle but the weather is rather temperate. The summer is warm but you would probably think the rest of the year is cold. Auckland, a pretty city on the North Island has many IT jobs. I think your wife might find a job there too. Christchurch a charming city on the South Island would be a great place to migrate to. Good luck in working or migrating somewhere you really love.

If your friends wife is looking for a job in nursing she would get plenty of it and it pays good, if she is a a fully qulified she could earn $30 an hour but the pay varies and its from about $17 to $40 or even more. Now I can only speak for Australia as I live in Australia. It is a lovely country to live in and lately there has been a lot of work available for some industries it is hard to get visa.

Thank you maximax8 and violeta_va for the feedbacks. Perhaps you could help me getting a job in Autralia and New Zealand. :) I think I'll prefer somewhere where the temperature isn't that cold, Brisbane and Cairns, right?

If possible, I prefer the countries of Europe because of the culture, life style, social relationship there!

All countries you said are fine to go and live. In the USA, since you course is Computer Management, I have lots of friends who are working there now. They are Senior Programmers.

I have two Aunts currenly residing in the US now. One in San Diego, California and the other is in Chicago, Illinois. They are willing to help me land a job there but I have to first look/apply for a job in the US while I'm here in the Philippines. They are willing to have me on-board their home while I'm still earning in order for me to support myself. Eventually, we'll apply for a resident visa and hope to petition my family as well. Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, It is really a good decision to think about the future. There are many options for you like the New Zealand, US, Canada. We prefer Canada. We have already applied for the immigration. All the best to you too. Good luck.

I love living in Canada. We have tons of differnt jobs and the pay is usually very good. Especially in Alberta where we have a labor shortage right now and every possible type of job is up for grabs. We are a beautiful country with mountains and oceans. Also we have Universal Health Care so you don't have to worry about paying medical bills.

I think I'm going to love Canada. I know it's one of the countries that really help its citizens. That Universal Health Care is a really big help. Thanks for the feedback.
