i would have to say romeo and juliet, because what a wonderful thing for two people to be so in love, and its a great first love between two people where nothing else exists for them but those two,how romantic that is.they were just so love with each other and in love with life itself.love is just a beautiful thing.love has many affects in todays world and its just a blessing to have someone or something love you.life is beautiful.

Beauty and The Beast - Immediately the fairy gave a stroke with her wand, and in a moment all that were in the hall were transported into the prince's dominions. His subjects received him with joy. He married Beauty, and lived with her many years, and their happiness as it was founded on virtue was complete.
aaahhh!!! you make me no choice as you take first for Romeo and Julliet. So I have to chose for another one....wait...and just wait....emmmmm!!!.. OK...I got it..Beauty and The Beast. The memorable moment was at the happy ending part, where it happened, immediately the fairy gave a stroke with her wand, and in a moment all that were in the hall were transported into the prince's dominions. His subjects received him with joy. He married Beauty, and lived with her many years, and their happiness as it was founded on virtue was complete. :::michael:::

I have to say that the best love story I know was the movie Somewhere in Time. It starred Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour. Wonderful tale. I highly recommend you rent this movie. It was wonderful.

I love Romeo and Juliet too, and also the lovers in "West Side Story" which is basically the same story but set to music in a modern setting. My favourites though would have to be either Kathy and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, or Anna and Count Vronsky in "Anna Karenina" which is my favourite book of all time. Lots of people hate Anna because she is married and having an affair, but this was in the days before divorce was acceptable, and her much older husband treats her cruelly and coldly - she is just a trophy wife to him - there is no affection there. So it's hardly surprising she falls in love with her Count. But their love affair is doomed to failure because of her husband - who doesn't want her, but won't accept that anyone else can have her either, - and she kills herself by jumping under a train. No matter how often I read it, - it always makes me cry.

My fiance's favourite romance is Wuthering Heights. I like Jane Eyre, Pride&Prejudice, The Notebook and Moulin Rouge. I really love the sadness of unrequited love like Dracula and The Phantom of the Opera. But, I read a lot of romance novels, so I have a ton of love non-classic love stories that I love. Particularly stories by Sandra Brown(Thursday's Child is my fave) and Johanna Lindsay(A Man to Call My Own is my fave).

I cannot decide whether Romeo and Juliet or Love Story were the best love story of all times, but I think Romeo and Juliet were the best. After all, in Love Story, the only thing to overcome was her illness with tragic results. In Romeo and Juliet, not only were they probably too young, but the families opposed the match, and the way Shakespeare wrote the play, so beautiful, so romantic!

In India we have many love stories, heer-ranjha, shiri-farhaad, laila-majnu, prithviraj-sanyogita..... These people loved each other against the wishes of their nears and dears; and had to suffer a lot.

I loathe the story of romeo and juliet. I think that the first thing that comes to mind is "The Break-up". It's a movie that's true to life. I don't want to ruin it if you haven't seen it, but let's just say it is called "The Break-Up"...however, it actually ends happily. Sometimes relationships don't work out but in the end you probably learned something and after a while you probably realize that if it ended, it was for a reason. There are people who go through life and never get married. For instance, I had a teacher in high school who was never married and she was in her 50's. She was engaged and her Fiance was killed in a car accident a few months before they got married. After that, she just never saw herself with someone else...and was happy to remember that she had him once. if you looked at this through the eyes of Romeo and Juliet she should have killed herslef because you can't live without the other and I think that's a stupid message. you SHOULD live even if it's without the other because you can still live a full and happy life and they'll always be in your heart.
