He won't stop munching and vomiting

Every night the cat attacks our fake plants and then vomits everywhere. I've already posted about this and about cat grass as a solution and got some very good responses and tips but growing the cat grass is going to take time and I need to do something right away. I've put away as many of the plants as I can but we have some that are very tall and can't be moved so the absolute quickest solution to solve the late night munchies on the silk plants would be very appreciated ...

I know at Walmart you can buy a variety of sprays to deter animals from messing with stuff. I have the anti-scratch spray and it works but only if I use it everyday. There is an anti-chew spray that I assume tastes bad, you could try that, pr your coudl just try spraying the plants with something you already have that tastes bad, like perfume.

I think to get through tonight, I'm going to take your suggestion and spray the plants with perfume and hope that does the trick until I find a more permanent solution.

I wish I could help, but unfortunately I cannot. We used to have a cat that would eat all kinds of crazy things like that. My mom had a really big faux flower arrangement on her table and the darn cat ate every last bit of it leaving only the plastic and wire. She used to eat balloons and ribbons and yarn too. We could never get her to stop doing it. Hope you can find a solution to your problem. You may want to call your vet to see if there is some sort of deterrent you can spray on them that won't hurt the cat but will keep it away. Good luck :)

He was OK for the past 4 months and just started doing this a couple weeks ago.... I hope I find a solution as well because it's night time again and that's when he does all his munching.

no, he'll just eat the perfume ON the plants. get rid of the plants. it's that simple. sorry, but that's all you can do. or get rid of him in favor of the silk plants and that for me wouldn't be an option.

He was our daughters cat and was sick, so when she moved, we took him with the egreement that he would be euthanized (we just couldn't do it). Last night he didn't touch the plants at all but we put them out of reach anyway - just in case.
